Did Mark played the red Schecter stratocaster in any of his gigs at OES tour?
And, the sunburst schecter?
He played most of songs with the Pensa/Suhr( tol, sos, telegraph, romeo, )
-
Red Schecter was definitely on Wild Theme... I think OES too?

yes

Yes, on wild theme.
He did not play the les paul too at OES tour.
-
he played it maybe on So far away, but rmarques821 thinks it's the pensa
since there are not (yet) video of this song during OES tour, we will never know...
about the bug studio version, I have a doubt : live ,he played the white schecter strat, but on the clip he has the red schecter
is it only for the iconic thing, or is it because he played it in studio on this song ? :think

I believe, he did not play so far at OES. Probably on first leg in europe
He played the Pensa for so far studio 1984, same guitar he opened sidney

yes I know, but during BIA tour he played the schecter, even in Sydney where he got the pensa for Ride across the river
That's why I tend to think that if he had to play So far away around september 1991, he would have use the red schecter, but it's only speculation

What a weird fact that he did not play TOL with hislegendary Schecter Sunburst and played it with The Pensa instead.
He played with the pensa and cut out 3 Schecters( red, brown/white and sunburst) , a les paul, and a fender red.
He played the Pensa for the first time at Prince Trust before mandela 1988
Mark probably had some preference for the mk1 or Rudy Pensa and John Suhr offered him a deal to play it.

The Schecter Sunburst had a much thicker sound and suited the song much better than the Pensa ever did. TOL always had too many notes in it on the OES tour. Never underestimate the power of simplicity and the sound of the Schecter Sunburst.

Eventhough, my fauvorite guitar is the mk1 I believe the schecter sunburst is better to TOL.
At SOS I like red or white/brown sound until the last solo where the Pensa is great
For Telegraph I believe, Mark played more confortable with the mk1 and mk2. But, lately he was using the old fender(I do not like it)
MFN is a Paula song
BIA was originaly for Paula but I like the Pensa/suhr sound the most
Has ever Mark played the Paula for SOS, Tol, WOL ?
I remember at monserrat 1997 he played wild theme with Paula and it is (for me) his best gig

it's not the "old" one, it's the signature model
Has ever Mark played the Paula for SOS, Tol, WOL ?
no but he played it for the bug (a "strat" song)

he played wild theme on the Les Paul in 2000 stp TV promo tour too. The version on the STP maxi CD is the Les Paul

96 he played the LP on the "full" Going Home. Great thick sound.

Interestingly he used the red Schecter on the Night In London show. Perhaps the small studio setting or arrangement with the Electra Strings had something to do with the decision.

The best version IMHO.

I think not that weird given the fact that the idea to design the Pensa Suhr MK1 was to replace as many different guitars as possible (incl. Fenders and Gibsons) with only one versatile guitar.
