Inspired by the very different opinions on the HOF inductions I'd like to know how you all rank ALL the albums that MK and DS has made (which are not moviescores).
I LIKE THE MOST

- Shangri-la
- Kill to get crimson
- On Every Street
- Ragpickers dream
- Communiqué
- Sailing to Philadelphia
- Brothers in Arms
- Love Over Gold
- Neck & Neck
- All the roadrunning
- Real Live Road running
- Making Movies
- On the Night
- Golden Heart
I LIKE THE LESS

It´s quite easy, DS albums are the reason why I became a fan, and any MK record is just a shadow of what DS records where so, firstly, all the DS records, and after, the MK ones.
On the night was just a dissapoinment of a DS live record, the sound (artificial to me) and the selection of songs...

I agree with you Jbaent
The thing I find strange is to rate STP after neck and neck or NHB...
I find that the MK solo record whichi is "closeré to DS spirit is STP, but not neck and neck or NHB, nor ragpicker's dream

This is because to me, DS and MK, musically talking, are two different identities to me...

To me, Dire Straits and Communique are the only DS records. They were a real band and played cool laidback funcky pop. The rest are MK solo under different brands.
The best is his first solo record, Making Movies. That’s his only rock’n’roll record. MK plays all guitars, session musician Roy Bittan, fantastic songs, magic sound.
Then comes:
Communique
Shangri La
Sailing to Philadelphia
Love Over Gold
Golden Heart
The Ragpickers Dream
Dire Straits
Tracker
Kill to get crimson
Missing...
Brothers in Arms
Alchemy
Etc.
On the bottom is On The Night.
