well one discussion exists about Snowy White's song, that i forget the name of and Brothers in Arms
but how about "two-faced love" by Richard Thompson and "The Bug"

Only the first couple of bars of the intro, otherwise it's not a bit like The Bug. I do like this song though and I like Richard Thompson! :)

the man is a late discovery for me personally, but he is awesome, and mock tudor is a brilliant album
-
and you should listen to the intro from the official album "Mock Tudor"

I clearly remember when I was in a discotheque back in the early 90
-
Yeah, BiA really sounds like Bird of paradise by Snowy White.

Counting Crows Mr Jones vs. Sultans Of Swing.
Especially in the chorus and the bassguitar.

Shadow Play and SOS? Come off it! Shadow Play is good hard rock and (very basic) roll. A great song and one of my favourites but nothing like SOS.
As for BIA - I was really shocked when I first heard it as I was also a Snowy White fan and thought Bird Of Paradise had been well and truly ripped off!

shadow play rules. but people, try Seventh son of the seventh son...or walking on hot coals,...or...rory is god #4

The first time I heard "Who's your baby now?" it reminded me of an old Beatles b-side single composed by John Lennnon, "Rain"

"Artificial Paradise" reminded me to dig out my copy of "Number 10" and every track on this album is amazing! It would be difficult to pick out favourites, but I love "Insurance" and "The Jailer", they are all good though! :D

ZZ Tops, Waiting For The Bus, kinda invokes that Southbound Again, Communique rhythm playing. Nice stuff.
