After much wondering about where the heck it was, it arrived today. As an Eater, sleeper & breather of MK and also a Vinyl/Boxed edition collector I'm over the moon with it. I can understand however the frustration of not having the bonus disc as 'official' downloads for those who cannot play the vinyl.
I will attach some photos of the box set along with the nice MK pictures you don't get with the CD versions...

Drovers Road is NOT on the main album but is on the 'Bonus' Vinyl Ep..
-
Love the piccie of the Pensa on the vinyl 'Bonus' cover...
-
Back on the Dancefloor music and album print...

Great Job KF

Very nice pictures, thank you!
Is the box able to stand alone? Looks even thinner than the Tracker box. Not that it's too important...

Funny that they put the tab for BOTDF, which I can't imagine how can be played solo, instead of e.g. Matchstick Man (btw, thanks Pavel for the tab)

Ah, don't even get me started. Not only that, it seems they forgot about the capo and it actually made the song more difficult to play.
What they were thinking? They did it all right when they put the tab for Get Lucky, because it's a great fingerpicking song. But BOTDF...
Jeez, we have an album of 20 songs including bonuses and 1 song with just 1 guitar. What should we pick?
What about a song which starts with a bass guitar and the rest is a relatively easy strummer? Got it!

It's actually not that thin but will do a group shot with the other box sets in a while to compare...

Ta da.... Here is the New DTRW box set compared to the other three I own. Tracker & DTRW are identical but the GL & Privateering are slightly fatter as per the photos here....

Thank you!
I often thought how great it would have been to have these kind of Deluxe Boxes from Dire Straits albums back in those years ..

The On The Night one with all the songs played in the tour would be stunning

Very nice pics! Are you still planning to try to record the bonus tracks?

Will they be better than the flac version that exists already?

Thanks for the pics - quite the collection there! So there's not much in it then and no poker chips in this one - damn! :smack

Thanks for the great pics!
Are they numbered? I believe they "forgot" that feature this time :hmm
-
Are they numbered?
The Box is not numbered.

I don't know about the others being limited runs anyway. I just did a quick search on Amazon and can purchase the Privateering one for £40.76 right now. Haven't searched any others.
-
I found three prints of the cover photo in my box. :hmm

Correct. A little misleading when the title says "Box Set, Deluxe Edition."

The Box is not numbered.
Print nor box numbered unlike the other three box sets which include numbered prints...

Interesting none the less. Les Paul Signature bass guitars were built between 1973 & 1979. One of Glenn's collection I should imagine...
