He was a wonderful man and a genius.   So very sorry.   What a fine life he had, creating beautiful music, changing the guitar world, and influencing so many great guitarists, including our own MK.

Rest in peace Paul. I totally agree with Marie

And real strange, last holiday (4 days ago ended) I played the CD of Chet Atkins & Les Paul in my car (I didn't play this CD for ages), enjoying beautiful drives through Normandie France together with this beautiful guitarplaying with open roof and sunny days.

RIP Les Paul.  :(

I think he may have had an advance copy of Get Lucky. And after he heard the intro to "So far from the Clyde" he must have thought "My work here is done!"  :'(

Really gutted about this. I went to his show in NYC in 2005, he signed my guitar and a poster and happily posed for a pic. While having a beer. At the age of 90. Having just played two shows. Amazing. He really couldn't have been nicer and I really feel privileged to have met him.

I guess he'll be remembered most for the guitar, but his real legacy is his pioneering of multitrack recording.

RIP Les. :(

Well, it's got his name on it, but it belongs to me. :)

In fact his name is on it twice, once from the factory and once where he signed it.

Funny you post that, here's Mrs Valentino and our friend Eona meeting the Naked Cowboy (he's not actually naked though, thankfully)
