John Illsley on stage with Mark Knopfler on July 14 ??

 Who will be in St Julien en Genevois to attend Mark's concert on Sunday, July 14 as part of the Guitare en Scène festival?

 As a reminder, the day before, on the evening of Saturday the 13th, John Illsley will play, and on the Guitare en Scene website, we can read this little seductive phrase:

 As he prepares to release his sixth solo album, "Coming Up for Air" (...), John Illsley goes back on the road for a tour, between classics of Dire Straits and personal pieces, where he will meet, once  more but this time in the unpublished and magical setting of Guitare en Scene, his former brother in arms Mark Knopfler.  From then on, everything is possible ... "

 I have seen many times in concert MK since 1992 (3 times already this year in Barcelona, ​​Strasbourg and Paris) and I know how much we should not expect a surprise ... But good hope is alive for the fans ))

  I have my ticket for the 13th and 14th, and I would love  to see these 2 friends replay together the space of a title on Sunday 14th evening!

 And You Guys, what do you think ?

Nah. Sadly not. John was in the audience at RAH, I thought he would have been one of the special guests, I hadn’t realised special guests referred to celebs in seats!

When was last time they played live together? 2002-3?

How cool it would be if Mark and John did regular gigs together at John's pub? That would be a great way for Mark to keep up his guitar chops.
