I don't know if anyone is interested in cricket here, but  ENGLAND HAVE JUST WON BACK THE ASHES FROM AUSTRALIA!!!!    :D

Bad news for Ian, but as an American, I don't know what the ashes are.   Would like to.   Would some one explain?  Thanks.

IrisRose, It is such a complicated thing to explain, so I think it better that you Google "The Ashes" Wikipedia!    :)

That's OK IrisRose, but obviously W/M is not a cricket fan! ::)   I don't think cricket is played in Ireland, actually!   ;)

W/M, Just heard on the news that the England team will be travelling to Ireland tomorrow for some matches - all this time I didn't know they played cricket.  :o  I don't think the Scots do, but I'm probably wrong about that too - unless someone can tell me more!   ;D

I heard on the radio today that Scotland are playing Australia on Friday. A fairly minor sport here in Scotland though, I've never worked it out, seems pretty boring to me. Surely the only sport where people take the newspapers along with them when they go to watch it because it's so boring!

That said, congrats to England.

Freddie is probably coming over for a few drinking matches :P - he's no hope coz we're in the super league at that ;D
