I've just published something I've been investigating recently and would like to share my "thesis", it's redundant to mention that everyone here is very knowledgeable about the DS, but that's why I'd like your opinion. Sorry for my poor English, I hope it is possible to understand the article.

A very interesting story. Chuck Loyola also created the guitar (DS logo) that we see on the first three DS albums.

The pictures of Wood Wharf is how it looks now, the nowadays building is totally new, and all are apartments.
-
This is how the Wood Wharf studios used to look like before they built that apartments building
Totally different.

Plot twist: Chuck Loyola was actually MK's pseudonym, much like Dire Straits :lol

This video is contemporary to the period, late 70's and shows the front of Woodwharf

That building was built during the 2000's,i saw it being built in various of my visits.
When I was there in 2006 or 2007 it was just the white columns, the wood wharf Marquee and the rest was being built. The building in that video is the apartments building that exists nowadays, it is Not the wood wharf studio where DS, Kate Bush etc used to rehearse.
The wood wharf where DS used to rehearse late 70's and early 80's is the one you can see in Kate Bush video, the screen capture i sent here.

At one of the "l'est enfants du rock" dire straits documentaries you can see DS going into Wood wharf and is very clearly a small building, like the one in Kate Bush video. Can't put the video right now, sorry.
I made the same mistake in my own book, but I will mend it in the second edition.
