Sad to hear that Don Everly has died aged 84 yrs.

This is quite tragic when you think about it. A big piece of music history is gone and The Everly Brothers are now completely in the realm of legends!
-
I often go to Wikipedia and look at the pages of famous and inspirational people, thinking "how great to live at the same time with people like that". David Bowie, Stephen Hawking, Nelson Mandela, and myriads of other legends from all other the world... I've seen them before, and after their "is" became "was".

It’s a sad farewell to Don Everly today. The Everly Brothers made many of the first records I feel in love with. I must have been about ten years old. Their influence on songwriters, singers and players will be everlasting” – MK

It's so sad that both the Everly's have now died. Their music was a great part of my teenage years from the late 50's to mid-60s and their songs were often on my record player. Their harmonies were so unique. RIP Don.

Sad news indeed. The Legends keep leaving this world.
Maybe Mark will revisit Two Skinny Kids to honor them... Great song that deserves to meet the broader audience in a good quality recording!

That's true.
I remember amazing concert Chet Atkins And Friends in 1987. Mix: All I have to do is dream, Bye bye love, Wake up little Suzie.

Really sad indeed.
But I'm afraid MK doesn't remember TSK. Hope I'm wrong.

I find it extremely amusing that Mark wrote the song about Ev's long ago and while they both were alive, and even after they are both now gone the song is still in the making. Slow learner, that's for sure!
