Musically, next favourite would be Pick Withers, great drummer, then Alan Clark who made a big impact to the music when he joined.

As Dusty says, Pick when it comes to the early Straits, and Alan Clark from the moment he joins till the last day.

same for me but personnally, I put Alan Clark first
I love Pick's drumming, but Alan's impact on the band was far more important imho, and I like very much what he brought musically
