A great composer, for Mark Knopfler fans he's probably most notable for Mark losing BAFTA Award for his work in "Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence" in 1983.

Not like I care about awards, but Mark could get a BAFTA for Local Hero if not for this brilliant man from Japan.
