Well, I had to change my user name and password because due to not being at my home computer, I could not remember my old password...so now I'm jacki...
Words cannot express how completely overwhelmed and heartened I am by all your kind words and deeds. I was also very shocked to learn so much about my own recuperation! I had no idea I'd been induced into comas! So reading all your entries on my thread was very edifying.
Emily, I know you want to speak with me and I feel very bad that I haven't been able to get back to you. I have no phone in my room and I haven't yet set up my cell phone again. When it is done, I will let you know. I also have no access to my email because there, also, I have forgotten my password, and of course the instructions are sent to my email, which is on my home computer! I am too dumb to try to figure it out from here.
I want to thank all of you and send my love. Arthur suggested I look into the thread and while I set up a new account the other day, I had forgotten to check in once it was established. I've just done so and am so grateful for all your sweet support. I'd no idea I meant that much to everyone. I want you to know you all mean so much to me also!
The rehab facility I'm in now is wonderful, rich in both food for the body and food for the mind. They are working me very hard in Physical Therapy and allowing me enough "me" time so that I can get re-integrated into social life. I'm reading again and am taking advantage of the luxuries offered. The staff is exceptional and the fellow patients are, by and large, welcoming and friendly. The staff worked willingly with me to get me to my pancake feed and back and I was able to visit with many people I had not seen sometimes for a couple of years. (Our police force is subject to shift change and often my favorites work a shift I have little access to.) I am still frustrated that my breathing is not up to par as yet (nor is my leg) but all things work out with time, seemingly. Everyone here is going to receive the H1N1 flu shot when it is available which is a relief - it would be ironic to have survived 3 trips to ICu and near death to croak from the flu. I am being fed very well (perhaps too well - good thing I have access to a gym) and aside from the fact that I can't seem to be comfortable in bed, probably due to my problems, I am encouraged and in pretty good spirits and hope to continue to connect with you all.
Hats off to you all! You are my angels. I love you all.
Love, Jacki

Great to see you back, Jacki! I'll combine your accounts at some point. You won't have to change or do a thing.

It's great to see you here, Jacki!
I must say I'm very proud of my fellow Knopflerados. It's really great to be a part of such a caring community of people from all over the world. I would expect nothing less from MK fans.
We love you, Jacki!

Managed a little on line chat with the new "Jacki" yesterday. I'm pleased to say that she's just the same as that Jcser one that posted here a while back - lively, quick witted, thoughtful, interested, just plain nice!
Welcome back Jacki :) We've really missed you.

Welcome back, Jacki! It's lovely to have you with us again! :-*

Dear Jacki,
Wonderfull to hear from you again! Very very welcome back. We missed you :)
Keep faith for the future, rehab will do it's work, sometimes quick improvement, sometimes you work for weeks and no improvement and suddenly the improvement is faster again. But I am sure you can manage it, you are a fighter with good spirit and we let the spirit flow to you as well.
It's so good to hear from you again :D
I love you too!

:) ;) Indeed it is good to hear from you again Jacki. You had us all worried there a few times and some extra prayers needed saying over the journey. I hope your rehabilitation goes well and that you are able to resume all the activities that you enjoy and a return to full time work is important in achieving these goals. :)

Hello dear Jacki! Great to see you here again. I'm sorry I saw this topic so late, being every day on facebook to leave messages for you there.
-
Dear Jacki! It is great to see that you are back at AMIT again too! You know we all were very worried, especial in the beginning when a few times your condition was "good" enough to leave the intensive care, but then you had to go back again! You have been in my thoughts every day! ;)
I was glad that I was able to watch the little video about the Fund raising of your co-workers. Also Jans smiled and was glad to see you again! ;D I hope they collected a lot of money, so you can buy another car and use it for other things. I hope you can go home soon and have access to your computer and enjoy the beautiful music of Get Lucky and all the other music of Mark again! :-*

Great to see you back Jacki !!!!!
big hugs !!!

To all here, thank you so much for everything. Fieneke, thank you for your cards!! And thanks everyone for all the CDs. I should have my CD player today (if Becky brings it before she goes to work) and I am so looking forward to playing "Get Lucky"! Just now while I was having breakfast I heard one of the songs over the speaker that MK and Emmylou performed together: "Right Now". It was during this era that we all started to know each other. Please believe that you are all in my thoughts now. :-*

It's so good to see you back, Jacki. Your hundreds of online friends have been so concerned for you. Seeing you back on the forum and on Facebook is a joyous thing.

It's so wonderful to have you back, Jacki. You have been remembered in my prayers for many months. What an ordeal you have gone through but you must have a strong will or you wouldn't be here today -- posting again on AMIT. It's really wonderful :-* :-* :-*
-
Enjoy listening to the "Get Lucky" CD Jacki, you will be able to watch the DVD later when you are back home! ;)
I am sure you will love it as we all do! I even think you will try to play your violin with some of the songs! ;D

Hey, Jacki -- We are all so happy you are well enough to begin posting here again and that your rehab is going well. What an awful ordeal you went through. You are obviously a very strong woman to come back so strongly. My best to you!
