I'm sure it's been posted here before, but I wasn't able to find it. I have watched this a few times many years ago, and it is one of my favorite interviews with Mark. He's in such a great mood and very relaxed. I just wanted to post it (again?) to reminisce a little.

I love this interview, thanks for positing again, it's been a joy to watch again!

I love when he's playing the national, he plays some licks of "When it comes to you", lol

It got interesting when he mentioned about being married with Kitty and very happy and stable, it looked like he was to mention how bad was with Lourdes but then he gets politically correct, lol

Yes, that was the most interesting for me as well. Also the guy "playing" at the wrong Albany!

Well, the original Albany doesn't exist anymore as it burned down many years ago, but the place where this Albany stands is where the old Albany used to be.

what is the music we can hear around 4 min in the part 2 ?

Yes I know (thanks to your book!), I just thought it was funny that they were pretending it was the same place, even finding one of MK's hairs, now that would be a rare item!

One of the nicest things of this videos is that, after being outside British Grove and wondering how it would be inside, with the way this is recorded you can picture very well how it is from the door till the roof, lol, you can see them going throught the entrance, to studio 1, the stairs, the office up... the only thing you can't see here is Studio 2 and the kitchen, well, of course, the baths, LOL
I remember seeing a plan many years ago but this is more visual.

Kenny is almost a little corny, don't if deliberately so, but I love how Mark is just playing along.
-

Don't know about the music, but you can feel the pain when Mark acknowledges he's slow. It's like daaaaaamn... He's done quite a lot of good things though despite being slow.

Yeah, loved that. He was clearly enjoying himself there.
-
wonder if the bacon roll song was based on mk receiving krisprolls from Kenny.."my swedish roll"
lol
thnx very enjoyable watch, cannot remember having seen this before. then again. i am old.

best interview ever (for MK standards)

Agreed.
This is the BEST MK interview. Ever

Some of you may not be aware that Kenny is not a journalist by any means, but a former racer and winner of the Indy 500!
He is a disarming guy.

That’s cool! Another reason why MK was so open with him.

Yes, I think so. Mark must have been familiar with Kenny as this was not long after his career ended. This was part of a brief run of interviews. Kenny also got to interview David Letterman, which was almost unheard of at the time (Dave being notorious for only appearing on his own show).
-
Yeah, one of the best MK interviews. It's in this one where he confesses he did the OES tour only to escape his failing marriage, I'd forgotten where I got that info from

Dave was/is a big motor racing fan, he used to have a lot of racing drivers on his show.
I went to a taping of Letterman 10 years ago, a real thrill.

Cool!
Kenny in fact used to race for Dave, hence the connection.

noboby thinks it could be unreleased Mark's stuff ?

Doesn't sound like a MK song at all for me, and won't make sense anyway to put an unreleased MK song in an external interview...

It's probably the background music to the Henrik Hansen film ;D
