This is really bugging me now, and i'm probably miles away, but it sounds like it 's off the Mark Knopfler/Chet Atkins cd 'Neck & Neck.
At first i thought it was from 'There'll be some changes made' or possibly 'I'll see you in my dreams'

But like i say, i've probably embarrased myself by being way off mark. :-\

Put me out of my misery Pottel. ???

Just downloaded it. Definitely nothing off Neck and Neck. Doesn't really sound like Chet either, but I could be wrong. MK doen't really play in the Chet style, Chet used all 5 fingers (on the right hand), MK just uses 3.  :)

Could be wrong here, but sounds like 'The Next Time I'm In Town' to me

The funny thing about the JC version is that it has a "middle 8" that's not in the original. I guess we have to assume that JC added this himself.

The bit that goes on about "playing jukebox music, singing old country songs".

There's a great live DVD available where he plays it:
