Title: Borthers in Arms cover
Post by: JF on February 02, 2024, 04:23:07 PM
Ok, I know I am not in the same league as many musicians here

I know I am on an average level

But last week, I played BIA of the firts time in public during a jam session. I don't have a LP, so I played my sunburst schecter replica
It was tuned half step down, so I could play in A Minor shape

A the end, the other guiatrist (who is also a luthier BTW) took the solo in non knopfler-ish style, but hey it was a jam, not a tribute band
for the final end, I played also in a different style
It was lot of fun

YT recognized the song... so we were not that far from the original

And an english person who was present said to me it was one of the best moment of that night...
a little bit exagerated if you ask me, but thanks to him anyway

Well done! It's a difficult song to pull off without rehearsal, so given the fact that it was a jam session, I think it was a great effort. And you for sure were able to create the atmosphere and ambiance that we associate with this song. Nice. Good guitar tone too!
