&

Found a list which does go back a long way and the song is "Moonlight Serenade", Glenn Miller!   ;)

Where did you find that list, Val?     I think the number one when I was born was "Greensleeves"   by Henry Tudor 8

Hi Jacki, Lovely to see you here! Hope you're feeling well!  :D   

"Moonlight Serenade" was # 1 in the US charts on my birthday, but in the UK I don't think we had charts then, but I suspect it would have been something by Vera Lynn.  Interestingly, she is in the UK charts again and has just had a few weeks at # 1 again!   The wheel has turned full circle, it seems!   ;)
