I'm wondering how many colors and designs are in the cd ? My standard cd which I got for free from ordering the tickets came in beautiful red. My digipack cd came in yellow, dvd in green. All the colors are just absolutely beautiful! Actually they are the most beautiful choice of colors and design I've ever seen in any cds. What do you all think?
-
Yep I am totally in Love with it.

Yeah, i think my basic CD is superior design work. Very stylish, great typeface and art. The music is ok as well! :)
-
does anyone have any photos of the basic cd version?
-
How do I reduce the size of the picture so that I can attach to this post? My picture size is 2.2mb. Max allowed is 192KB.
any helps will be appreciated. I want to post the picture of the basic cd in beautiful red.

Hi GennT,
Balinor kindly let me know about this forum so I thought it was best
to drop a line to say thanks for the positive response. Will pop
in for when I have another Knopfler project on the go to see what you
guys are talking about. Won't be able to divulge any important info
but will be more than happy to discuss less sensitive information regarding design matters.
Alternatively you can keep an eye on my Twitter account, there may be
some bits of info you'll like sandwiched in between the nonsense.

Salvador.
Thanks sooooo much for the beautiful design and choice of colors. Absolutely awesome. Pls pass it along to MK and his management.
Totally love it !!! :)

Great to see you here, Salvador!
Would you care to share with us how you came up with the casino theme for Get Lucky? Was it MK's idea or yours? Was he very specific about how you should make it or did he leave it totally up to you? I'm very interested in the whole process of choosing the artwork for Mark's work. For me, an album artwork is the icing on the cake, another dimension that fulfills the image of the Album.
-
Mark initially wanted a poker chip for the cover. We tried that and I came up
with some other ideas on top.
MK loved the cover image and font so I was left to my devices to
complete the rest of the artwork once the cover was approved.
MK obviously amended a few things here and there but in general
it was a pretty smooth design process once the cover was approved.
A great project to work on especially the deluxe box.

and the deluxe box is a nice piece
any idea as to why this particular concert ticket (1996.05.23, RAH, London) was selected?

Pottel: they especially took this ticket because it was the only ticket (!!!) in 1996 which was sold upside down! ;D
No, just kidding. :P The deluxe edition (and digipack included) looks awesome. Just like the cover design for Why aye man (single), one of the best cover designs ever imo. :)

@salvardor design
was the David Gilmour "Live in Gdansk" box set ever a point of comparison? or discussed at all?
