Title: 'On The Night' Drums For Sale
Post by: Chris W on September 16, 2024, 08:43:58 AM
I've decided to sell my extremely rare Noble & Cooley Star Series drums, played on stage during 'Sultans Of Swing' on the 1992 sections of the 91/92 Dire Straits world tour, basically 3/4 of the tour.
These drums are already extremely rare, being hand built in a small factory in New England USA in 1988, but the Dire Straits provenance makes them even more unique and special.
Here is the listing:

Not gonna lie, when I look at this beautiful, all-black drum kit, I secretly wish I'd be a drummer. Looks like a Fazioli grand piano to me... All the best indeed!

I have a few kits. I regularly use three of them..... for variety or different reasons.

Chris, I learned that you are touring with The The? Did you take over from their regular drummer, are you replacing him or how came that to be?

Earl, their most recent regular drummer had a diary conflict, so I have been parachuted in for most of the tour. We're in Europe, next week a few shows in the UK, then almost the whole of October in North America, followed by 2 1/2 weeks in Australia.

Wow! Sounds like a lot of work - and fun! Thanks for answering so fast.. I read that you had to learn 27 songs in very short time...

"The The" should play Sultans on Tour and promote the drum sale.

Ha, Ha. Oh no.
There are no 15 minute long songs where I end up an exhausted heap on the floor. Thank goodness.
