Has anyone seen the film Notting Hill, and if so did your ears prick up at this part of the soundtrack? :)

Indeed! Saw it in the cinema back then and waited for the credits from that moment on to see if MK's name showed up.
It has also "Gimme some lovin'" in it closely to the end which was a funny scene.

Good film with good music throughout (with the exception of Roman Keating butchering When You Say Nothing At All!)
-
It was released after the Metroland soundtrack which has a pretty similar sounding track, She's Gone. I thought back then that it was pretty clearly a copy of it.

Yes! I was also wondering about that part but then I forgot about it. :)

Interesting catch Dusty. Really MK reminiscent. I have seen the film a couple of times. Actually I kind of like it. Maybe because the first time I saw it I felt a sort of connection with the bookseller protagonist, being one myself.

so is it MK??
No, it's not, but it's way too similar in my opinion to the "She's Gone" melody, which is nice in a way to listen that melody in Notting Hill, but also has a strange feeling.

I can't divulge such delicate information, on a public site, she might be reading it as well. So neither confirm, nor deny.
