It claims to be an un-released Mk collaboration but although the sound is similar to Mark, I'm sure it is a fake....

I like the guitar very much, even if it may not be MK! :) Who is singing? :-\
-
mmm, not sure if this is mk.
the guitar misses that ...thing...and thatdoes not sound like his vibrato...
-
Most likely a good impersonation I think. Pretty well done though.
-
Yeah. Nice guitar, pretty sure it's not Mark, but what a boring voice!!!!! :-\
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Cheers BBB

Actually it could be Mark because that is the way he is kind of playing these days, and this song was for sure recorded in one take with the guy coming singing MK playing and done.I dunno it could be fake but the guitar is very similar to MK.There sure are a lot of songs out there featuring MK which we probably will never listen.
-
Maybe we can ask Guy about the song?
-
I doubt it is MK. The timing is completely NOT mark. It's just hitting the notes instead of mark's "growing" of notes.
-
mm .. could well be him as a first pass anyway. Never thought I'd be stumped on a question like this, there's some subtle cleverness going on there.
-
I say it's a fake. It is very heavily influenced by MK's picking though. I'd be surprised if that was MK.
-
100 % - fake
-
No goosebumps.... No Mark :P
-
100 % - fake
Deffo :o :o

I have to concur with the consensus. While the guitar player is a LOT better than I'll ever be, it's still clunkier playing than MK has EVER done. Not that it's bad - it's just obviously an imitator.
-
I guess what I mean is, it's not 'intimate' sounding like Mark. I heard an interviewer once who told Mark it sounded almost tender the way he played - I can't recall the exact wording - and that's what I mean. This playing is not soft enough.

Thanks, Dutchessy! We have the answer now, but even though it wasn't MK playing, I still enjoyed the guitar on the song. :)

I know that guy for 2 years now by MSN... I discover now it's him....
Check this out!

You obviously can play the guitar, so wouldn't it be best to work on developing your own individual style now, just as MK did? :)

Ohh, I didn't mean I'm working on getting Mark Knopfler's touch. I'm working on my own touch! :). I have recorded several original song and now a few collaborations with my foregin friends Rasmus and Lukas.
I'm not the R

Hi Leksingen, Sorry if I misunderstood! I wish you well in doing your own thing! :)
-
I see now that my texture really ment that I'm working on the Knopfler touch, so sorry me :D
But what I mean is that I count myself in the box with guitarists who love the soulful playing instead of the shredding. And with Mark as my biggest guideliner I will surely end up somewhere around his style (not saying I will get as good as him, haha).
As a musician you can't become famous with playing others stuff, so one must come up with own songs which I'm working on ;)
Take Care
