I see Netflix is working on a new documentary about Dire Straits:
Netflix has officially announced the release date for its highly anticipated documentary on Dire Straits, the legendary British rock band known for timeless hits such as Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, and Brothers in Arms. Titled Dire Straits: The Journey of a Rock Legacy, the documentary will premiere on October 15, 2025.
The film will provide an in-depth look at the band’s rise to fame, chronicling their formation in 1977, their meteoric success in the 1980s, and the eventual disbandment in the mid-1990s. It promises exclusive interviews with key members, including frontman and lead guitarist Mark Knopfler, bassist John Illsley, and other former bandmates. It is fake indeed. The same thing about the David Gilmour documentary a few months ago. It was mentioned on his fanwebsite (not official site) that it was fake news

I think that Henrik have filmed the whole Tracker process (aka The Full Circle) plus he filmed and took some shoots during the DTRW recording sessions.
If it will be released, the doc is very, very outdated. Tracker and DTRW are not The White Album or Let It Be to be revisited such a long time after their releases.
He doesn't filmed the ODR recording sessions. Unless that is a deadly secret.
However, if Henrik took some shoots during ODR sessions.... let´s wait until MK do 80.

Must be a lot going around, a Netflix documentary about Mike Oldfield also came up on a forum I use too, which, like this one is also fake. I bet there are lots of other artists getting the same treatment too.

I saw that netflix documentary fake thing about dozens of different artists, I even saw three or four differents about Led Zeppelin!

I bet that outdated-thing is one of MKs arguments now too. And it is right of course, it IS outdated. The whole thing being fake would make more sense than the very, very weird stalling thing :hmm :lol
