Sorry, I just didn't make it clear. They're bronze. But MK said "the lions are made of stone" from the lyrics of Lions. Is this lion in the pic what MK talked in that song?

I guess there are more literal lions made of stone in London. ;) And maybe, the lion of stone in the song does (or didn't) exist at all and it is just an expression... :)

I must confess that it indeed took until the last Remembrance Day for me to learn that there are lions at Piccadilly Circus (although I have been there 15 years ago...). Never understood what Lions was exactly about, but I read that "Big famous persons" or "stars" are called Lions. But that was only one meaning.
"Flagpole Days" means exactly this time of the year, am I right? Remembrance Day and so on?? And the lady in the song seems to stroll around at this very crowded place... And even if the "soldier" is also a "crazy lion", MK
