Rolling on...
-
Monteleone makes it's debut; in place of Get Lucky.
Mark rises!!! At the end of the outro on Telegraph Road Mark rose from his chair and stood for a moment. He appears to be feeling better. He walked on to the stage unaccompanied, he walked off using DC as a bit of a crutch.

Just getting in from the show. Of course, it was fantastic! I couldn't believe it when Mark said "This is a first for the band. I've been saving this one for New York." right before Monteleone. That is seriously the stuff dreams are made of! I'm not sure if it beats the time I saw him in Newark in 2005, but it was definitely better than the two KtGC shows I saw in 2008.
The sound in the front row (Richard's side, a few feet right of center) was also fantastic. I was hearing sound off the on stage monitors, the stage itself, and the hanging right side array which together presented an interesting mix.
MK was clearly in pain. After he stood up, he sat back down and was bending his leg back and forth and wincing a bit. Seeing that was the only real "downer" of the evening. Besides the $35 see-through T-shirt that I now own. :lol
Of course, the setlist:

Prairie Wedding
Hill Farmer's Blues
Romeo & Juliet

I taped it, but sadly I had a major equipment failure during the show. So while everything up to Speedway sounds great, everything after that including Speedway is somewhat distorted/brickwalled. The problem is I have no idea what happened as I didn't change anything during the show. Not sure if it was the mics, preamp, or recorder.
Edit: Just found out the problem is the new preamp I purchased last year. Why do these things have to happen during the best shows? :disbelief

Dan, a recording exists, that means you've survived many fans who did not have a chance to go to the New York show. No matter what sound quality it is, we should say 'thank you'! ;)

See-through T-shirt is right. I am disappointed with the black shirt. Very poor quality.
-
Dan, we will be more than grateful for anything from you.
