Title: BitTornado 0.3.17 and Dime issues

Hello everyone,

I'm new to post here although I've been reading for about a year.  I'm attempting to download the Philly concert from Dime.  I downloaded BitTornado for a client and when I click on the Dime link, the BT box pops up but nothing happens after that.  I added the program to my Norton antivirus software under the smart Firewall section and allow for sharing in/out from any computer using TCP and UPD protocols.  I'm using windows 7 OS.

I'm sooo not computer savvy.  If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

Don't use BitTornado. Try uTorrent instead: www.utorrent.com/downloads

Thanks for the replies and advice Dan and Pottel.

I thought about changing clients but then decided to remove/reinstall BitTornado.  It seemed to work after that.  I let it run overnight (well, 6 hours) and this morning it was only 10% downloaded... with horrible upload (0%, no other leeches but me, I guess).  I'm letting it run today but if it's not going the way I think it should by the time I return home tonight, I'm considering bagging the whole thing, downloading utorrent and trying again.

Right now I have that horrible spanking icon on my account b/c my ratio is so low.  I feel terrible about that!   :-[   If I restrict my download speed, how long will it take to download a typical show?  I don't mind slowing it down, but I don't want to be downloading for 5 days, if you know what I mean. 

If anyone else has any bits or bobs of advice, I'll gladly take them.  This is all so new to me.

Funny you mention that because I use uTorrent (latest update 2.0.1) and had trouble downloading this from Dime too.  In the end I downloaded it from the Spanish City tracker instead.

To increase your ratio, you either need to upload a torrent, or you need to keep the Philly torrent active on Dime for quite a while.    As long as there are leechers, your ratio will slowly increase.     Download speeds depend on your internet activity, your torrent client, how many other leechers and how many seeders.    Most audio torrents download in less than a day, but because of the above, it can take much longer.   Be patient.   What's good is worth waiting for.    And do switch to utorrent.   It takes much less computer resource to run.   Most trackers like utorrent.
