Hey, Tobi,
thanks, great work! So 25 songs have been played over all on this tour. I think that's not too bad... And the first part of the tour was really surprising and promising. I think it is understandable that such a tight schedule takes its toll. And because the quality of the shows in no way declined but in the opposite was getting higher and higher, I think it is fair to say that this was a really really great tour with a lot of energy and commitment by Mark and the band!

Yes, a really good tour - a definite step up from the KTGC tour even though the set list was only tweaked from the last tour it was made much better and the band sounded so much more energetic.
And although there's only usually one kind of stats I'm interested in ;) I did find these interesting too! Thanks for your work Tobi.

thanks tobi.

posted it to guys forum, as i am a get a lifer too...

Tobi,
Very impressive effort you put together there. Second night in LA got 19 songs ! Wow ! What was the one song played that night that was not on the standard set?

On the MKNews site the set list is given as:
Border Reiver/Why Aye Man/What It Is/Sailing To Philadelphia/Cleaning My Gun/Prairie Wedding/Hill Farmer's Blues/Romeo And Juliet/Sultans of Swing/A Night In Summer Long Ago/Donegan's Gone/Done With Bonaparte/Marbletown/Speedway At Nazareth/Telegraph Road/Brothers In Arms/Our Shangri-La/So Far Away/Piper To The End
but I have also seen setlists for this concert that do not include "Donegan's Gone" and it doesn't appear in the details for the audience recording, so I think that is a mistake and it was an 18 not 19 song show. Though they did get "A Night in summer" which wasn't played that often.

Setlist according to Local-hero.org
This is the correct one, i searched back on this forum to 17 april.
Pottel posted the same setlist then. So a mistake by TK.
1. Border Reiver
2. Why Aye Man
3. What It Is
4. Sailing to Philadelphia
5. Cleaning My Gun
6. Prairie Wedding
7. Hill Farmer's Blues
8. Romeo & Juliet
9. Sultans of Swing
10. A Night In Summer Long Ago
11. Done With Bonaparte
12. Marbletown
13. Speedway At Nazareth
14. Telegraph Road
Encores
15. Brothers in Arms
16. Our Shangri-La
17. So Far Away
18. Piper to the End

So, it's 18 songs then with " A night in summer long ago" How I wished I could hear that song performed live !
-
Donegan's between ANISLA and DWB doesn't make much sense actually... Seen the fact that they have to switch lots of instruments and band members...

'Done with Bonaparte' - 60 times :o What a treat!!!
Hopefully Mark is 'done with the song' in question!

Forgot to add a 'well done' and thankyou to tobi777 for the interesting stats...

Hi everyone!
Nice to see the tour statistics! I for one am always interested in this kind of information. Good to see there's more people who like it. Guess I'm one of the get-a-life'rs too... Well, at least that means I'm in good company!
Anyway, at www.antsmarching.org (http://www.antsmarching.org), a Dave Matthews Band community, they've taken this tour stats thing a couple of steps further. They have the 'tour central'. Please go and have a look, it's quite cool! Wouldn't it be cool to have a similar thing for MK as well?
Kind regards,
Martijn

Yes, that's an example of the original idea behind this site, amarkintime.org. And suffice to say, this site will still satisfy that goal. It's just a question of timing- right now it's still in development.

Speaking about DMB, there's also the dmbalmanac.com which has probably even more compelete tour stats than am.org. Anyway, DMB is such a band that can play a three shows in a row and each show with a totally different setlist. So gathering those stats is probably more interesting than it would be for MK/DS. That being said, it would still be great to have something similar for MK, you know there's this: http://www.working-on-it.com/diary/ ...which is in serious need of updating...
-
still my favorite when it comes to statistics is this site:
http://hisbobness.info/
and also a great idea is this one, maybe an idea for our friends on the tracker:
a list of all torrents ever uploaded, listed by date, and with links. (be it for pink floyd)
http://home.roadrunner.com/~jj947/Y_INDEX.HTML
-
great site by the way.
not into dmb myself, but the site is cool. could be more user friendly though, i mean more of a "dummy proof" kinda thing.

Yes, I've seen that. However, all working-on-it.com did was copy the Diary section of "neck&neck" and moved it into a mysql database, so that people could search it. There's not really any new information. Just saying.

I have put info about setlist from http://www.local-hero.org/markontour/tour/20100 into a .xls-file

One of our own forum members was the webmaster of working-on-it and was doing a terrific job with it. Since then he's gotten very busy with many other things, including putting a lot of time into amarkintime. One site takes many hours. He's pretty generous to put his hours into a community effort and not so many into his own. Big thank you to that person.

yup, i second that.
as a matter of fact, dan, status? :-)

Still in constant development. I'm planning on having a general public "release" before 12/31.
