Last Friday I was a guest of Apple at the iTunes festival (to see Coldplay) at the Roundhouse in London and I talked to some promoter there...but I'm not allowed to tell yet. Sorry. But let's say there is maybe more to come...

I was talking to friend about the tour yesterday, he's a big MK fan, too, and his first answer was "Will they do an album together?" So maybe we will have
an extra album. I want a "pure" MaK solo album, but maybe they do something additional as well. Bob singing some of Mark's stuff and vice versa...
Or a duet album like Eric C. and J.J. Cale...
Would be cool. I am sure not all big news have been revealed yet.

I feel that it's an opportunity not to be missed and if BD is terrible, then at least you will have seen for yourself and can give an honest opinion - not rely on hearsay. Hopefully he will be OK and just maybe MK and BD will perform a couple of songs together. A song or two from the new album would be great too! :)

that's the thing you see. If it was in my home town (not that anybody remotely interesting ever performs here), I wouldn't hesitate for one second.
As it stands, it's a 2 hour train ride and I have to stay overnight as the last train is around 11pm. Unless I drive but I don't like driving that much and I am too crap at 1) finding my way 2) driving in town
If it was a full MK show, no hesitations either but for half a show... I don't know...
I have a friend whose hubby is a big Bob fan and likes MK too, maybe he could drive! ;D because there's another thing,
I don't really fancy going on my own either...

I have never seen him live, but I do like his albums, which, of course, is not the same thing at all. If MK and the band weren't there, I probably wouldn't bother, but I would hate to miss the possibility of seeing them perform together - it would be something to remember for ever. I'm going not expecting anything, then I won't be disappointed! :)

that's true. I hope it's GA (although I would rather sit down) so that I don't have to decide now to get a decent seat. I can always wait until the tour starts and read the reviews, find out if they are playing together at some point....

In November, when all these concert threads are open in this forum and everybody writes about how great GEORDIELAND sounds live (his new song, you know, I know it will be) with this 6 minutes long guitar solo, and Guy playing bongos, you will regret...

My Oberhausen seat has already arrived this morning. It's
block 2, row d seat 16.
If I am right it's the first seat on the left (at the corridor) in the 4th row of the middle front block. I think I can live with that, although my order went out before 9:01 within the first 45 sec.. And once have been in the first row, you always want to have seats there. But at least I can put my long legs into the corridor... ;D
I was astonished this morning to get my seat so early, I expected this mail not before early Sept...

I think those seats are the worst seats you could get in this price section, on the left edge with a nice view at the PA-speakers. Looks a bit like mk.com got just a very small number of front row seats, and had to give us the leftovers when the good seats were gone. If MLK keeps going on with this O2 presale thing, I will get an O2 prepaid card for future concerts, where I can choose my seats directly.

Dear Mrs. President, I understand your hesitation. I had the same, but then I decided not to go because of a few reasons! I didn't expect Mark to Tour this year, so planned my 2 vacations in June to Greece and at the end of August when we go to England. I also have a family reunion in Germany in September. They all were booked before I knew about the concert of Mark and Bob.
Of course I would LOVE to see Mark playing, but I am not interested in Bob. Listening to some of Bob

It's really exciting to go to an opening concert, because everything is suppose to be new!
But knowing Mark, it will be a little bit 'standard', but you don't hear me complaining!

I will attend the concert in Oberhausen with my girlfriend. Last year I was in Cologne with my father on the Get Lucky Tour and it was great, so I ordered two tickets for this event. Quite funny because my girlfriend does not listening to this kind of music but I am sure after this concert her attitude towards good music will change. :)

While watching Youtube Videos by Bob Dylan (Glasgow) I must say I am really disappointed. MK and Bob Dylan do not fit together and for expensive tickets (for me as an student very expensive) I want a nice show. I like BD's songs but the vids on youtube are bad. To me it seems as if MK is really interested in performing and playing new stuff, while BD is rather interested in making money.

Being a huge Dylan fan myself I cannot relate too good to the negative comments on ol' Bob, but if you are not familiar with what he's been doin' for the last, like, 20 years, OK.
For me, it's a Dylan tour with Mark being a very special opener. And I'm glad about that, I love MK's music, been to three of the Mark/Emmylou All the Roadrunning shows and two later MK shows. But still, on this here tour Dylan is the headliner. Love or hate or ignore him. (I love him.)

I haven't heard any rumors yet but after 23 years of the 'Never Ending Tour' Bob has become somewhat predictable.
I'd guess an extensive US tour in the spring, a short European summer tour, mostly festivals and possibly concentrating on countries he is skipping this tour...
I wouldn't expect another large UK/Europe tour again in 2012. Being an Olympic summer in the UK could also alter other normal concert dates I'd assume.

I wouldn't expect another large UK/Europe tour again in 2012. Being an Olympic summer in the UK could also alter other normal concert dates I'd assume.
Well, I for one wouldn't dare predicting details, but if he won't die before Bob sure will keep on touring in 2012 like he did in the past... Wordwide...

Just got lucky and won an ebay auction. Will attend the show next Sunday in Hannover. The place is of course not the best, but could be far worse,
it is in Block B (left) and somewhere around row 25, I think it is in the middle of the seated arena section...

Sorry I can't help but I've had the same worries when I was trying to find ticket to Rome. If anyone has a feedback about seatwave, viagogo ... , it would be a great addition to this thread.
BBB, did you try Getmein ? guaranteed by ticketmaster. If I had to buy a UK ticket, I think I would go for that one. But again, i never tried.

I used Seatwave to get a ticket for the RAH in 2010 at the last minute. The ticket had been sold back to the site by someone who couldn't attend and I bought it for face value only about a couple of weeks before the show. The deal was that I printed out a form and took it to an HMV store (UK record chain) and exchanged it for the ticket. It all went off smoothly and my seat was fabulous. Also, I must add that I knew my seat location before purchase unlike MK VIP purchase. I would not hesitate to use the company again.

What I know is that there is a primarily ticket sale where you can buy ticket at face value.
Then there is the second market where ticket price is based on "offer and demand" and price for major events are rising. This is legal in the UK.
But when a primiralily ticket seller become also a secondary market tix seller wouldn't it be surprised that finding tix at face value for major events will become harder and harder.
I don't know what you mean by "good". If you mean "reliable" I would say probably as they are endorsed by TM itself.
In my country secondary market is still allowed but a law is going underway to make illegal resale for profit as to preserve the face value market and give people a real chance to get a ticket before professional scalper get them.

Got my tickets for the three London shows today. I went for seats and we are in the front section of the Circle each night. There are five sections across the Front Circle and the seats I got are in the three centre sections, a different section each night, so I am quite pleased. They are also in the lower rows, so about as close as you can be to the stage when upstairs, so likely to offer reasonable clear views - but obviously not as close to the action as those who have gone for general admission, standing tickets.
