Hmm strange. I bought them through MK.com, they say its "general admission".

Maybe it's just ticketmaster's way of keeping track of sold tickets.

I hope it's only a bug.  :-[
I've checked my own ticket status but it can't help you because my tickets are seated.
No unexpected surprise. But still not sent. :disbelief

Just checked mine on the Ticketmaster web site and it says:

Section STAND, Row 93, Seats 6 - 7!!!

I bought GA too.

maybe its just the way that ticketmaster has to check their tickets sold, but we must know if we have to queue or not, dont you think?

 ??? ??? ??? ???

Row 93 : that looks like good news.  :)
I mean : the Arena is a ice hockey rink, 60 meters long. They need a few meters for the stage.
Can't have more than 45 meters left for standing audience. 93 rows -at least !- of seats in 45 meters ? Good luck, dear tour organisers   ::)

Should we write to ticketmaster, PCM, or someone?
Title: Re: Glasgow tickets

Should we write to ticketmaster, PCM, or someone?

Maybe best to wait until the tickets arrive and see what it says on them but it sure is a little curious.  I'm sure it's just Ticketmasters way though, because if we both ordered GA then GA is what we should get!

Well, if in the end I dont have to queue, I wont mind  ;D
Title: Re: Glasgow tickets
Post by: dmg on August 16, 2011, 03:07:01 PM
I've just been on the Ticketmaster web site and went through the FAQ and help pages and it said on there:

"I thought I had bought standing tickets but my tickets have a row and seat number?
General Admission tickets are numbered so we can keep a track of ticketing and do not reflect any actual seating location."

Hope this puts some minds at ease on the matter.  So don't panic, don't panic!

Excellent ! Thanks for helping me tracking the boat.  ;)
Indeed the boat must be on its way up to Barcelona and Marseille. I think it can reach Marseille in 4 days.
Then would pony express my tickets and hopefully cross the Alps before winter if the horses are not too exhausted.
I'me pretty confident. ::)

It means DWB is on the list  ::)
I assume Good Ol' Phil Cunningham has saved the dates !

Or, maybe, he'll be playing on a new song from the album!    :P

Good point !  ;)
To be honest, I don't think he'll play new songs.
MK will play a shorter setlist and he must obviously include his usual core songs (+ MFN ?).
Already complicated for him to remove TR, SAN, HFB or C.
I don't see enough remaining time for extra songs.
I hope I'm wrong.  :-[

But subway has the same limit to 23.00 time, doesnt it? besides Braehead doesnt have a subway stop, at least I didnt find one.

It looks like it would be a taxi then, if bus are not working after 23.00.

I'm not an expert but I don't think walking back is a viable option, it's quite far.
Plus it will be dark and you won't be taking photos. :)

I will definitely take a taxi. No need for you to hire a taxi. Please feel free to join. My pleasure. We'll discuss of that beer thing during the ride.  ;)
Looks like my hotel is 8 minute by foot from Glasgow central. I can drop you off there if you absolutely want to walk or you can continue the ride.

Looking at transport links to the venue it seems the best mode is by bus, from the city centre anyway.  What are you guys doing about dinner before the concert - having it in the city centre then getting the bus to the venue?  The Counting House is a good pub near St Vincent Street where buses depart from and they serve decent meals at good value.  Also they don't play any music so it's good for conversation.

Don't you have a serial number on your tix? This same number will be paint on the floor and you will have to put your feet there.
"Numbered standing" the new way to attend a show.

I don't like rain but I like the idea of wearing a trench coat + umbrella + some extra clothes + extra pockets + extra bag to carry the umbrella.
That's very good.  ;)

I was thinking of making my way there by bus at about 17:30 from the city centre.  I think the rain may deter others from queueing so we may have a chance of getting a good spot.

Funny that tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and Sunday cloudy, but dry!
