Title: 2013 Tour
Post by: superval99 on August 06, 2012, 04:53:28 PM
From MKNEWS:

MARK KNOPFLER TOUR, 2013: Mark's 2013 tour is currently being finalised. Dates and presale info will be announced shortly. (06/08/12)

That was totally unexpected... Everybody waiting for the official announcement on the several formats of the new cd, and we get a pre-announce of the tour...

If it was just because the Spanish dates I can understand it as in September our government will increase a lot the VAT, and it can be convinient to sell the tickets before and avoid the VAT increase in the tickets... lets see.

It might be a while before they release the dates.  They still have the BD tour to even commence (some dates aren't even on sale yet) and the album isn't out yet.  Also, as has been said, the finer details of the deluxe box aren't finalised yet either.  All these will need to be completed before any dates will even be shown.

I know of course, but I think it's time for something "official" now, we have different contents from different sites, 5 tracks or seven, EPK or not, 3 bonus songs, two more bonus songs in the Far East.... I hope for some clarity...

Not quite;  on the BIA tour they played two nights in Oslo on 22 and 23/10/85 ;D

He could play Malmo next time like he did with BD and that would almost like give Sweden another show too. ???

Won't mind if he does  :D

In 2010 they played in Helsingborg (outdoors) which is a 45 minute drive from Malmo.

But Malmo Arena is newly built and proved to be a state of the art concert arena.

True... He has played two nights here several times on his solo tours, so we need at least three to break the record :)

I'm fine as long as they choose indoor. The cold and rainy 2010 outdoor concert at Sofiero probably wasn't MK's favorite concert of that tour.   ::)
I hope for at least Stockholm and hopefully also Gothenburg, but it seems after the GL tour, that Stockholm is only chosen if they go to Helsinki as well which they didn't do last time.

Why they did two gigs with BD was only because that BD always sells tickets here, whilst that isn't as sure with MK. The only reason he sold out Sofiero was because of the danes.  ;D
I'm planning to visit two gigs next year, but living up here always makes me anxious before the announcements of the dates. Hoping for the best.

Not entirely true. The tour in 2008 included Stockholm and Karlstad. First ever double stop in Sweden (post-DS of course)

Nowadays Gothenburg is being overlooked due to not being able to host modern arenas. Much like Copenhagen have been overlooked lately in Denmark. Sorry if you are from Gothenburg Maxx but there haven't been anything built since the 80's that would benefit concerts.

In 2010 the only Danish show was at festival (among other artists' fans) in Middelfart, far away from Copenhagen. That was one of the reasons why it was no wonder Helsingborg nearly sold out.

My bet is that we will see two shows in Sweden, guessing Malmo and Stockholm. But it may as well end up with being just Malmo again since no other arena in Sweden is nowhere near the standard and acoustics of Malmo Arena.

edit: come to think about it, the only reason for Malmo Arena not to host an MK concert next year is the fact that the venue will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest (yuk!) in May

Of course the dream of Stockholm and Gothenburg is because of egoistic reasons. ;) Even better up would be two nights in Stockholms.  ;D

The 2005 tour included these two cities.

You're totally right there. But then again I usually go to Copenhagen rather than any other Swedish city ;)

(due to geographic reasons and the fact that the Copenhagen show in 1996 was the best concert I've been to in my life! audience isn't as stiff as in Sweden :D )

Gothenburg is a town that you easily forget ;D

Yep, but in 92 I think they played indoor at Scandinavium (Gothenburg). No idea why. They did Stockholm outdoors.

Talking about Globen, The Globe Arena.. I think that's too big for MK nowadays. First of all it's a bad arena, and to me it seems that only "rock n roll" bands can thrive in that place. MK's easy going music together with the Swedish audience makes a very strange feeling. It's not that many seats (~12 000), but the shape makes it gigantic and so quite with a seating audience. Ask MK what he thought about the '06 concert in there. Even Guy mentioned it in his diary but in nicer words.  ;D

So he may not tour in USA 2013... Only Europe... gigs would be to close from each others....

PS: Presales should be in September... A french website " Fnac" proposes if you buy MK's album to offer a presales access

Amsterdam will be fine for me  ;D

Actually, any European city with good flight connections will be fine for me  :lol

What I fear is that it might happened the same with the KTGC tour, I bought tickets for the first show in Amsterdam, but as I wanted to do some turism, I arranged it to arrive one day before... Then another show was added THE DAY BEFORE!, so I had tickets for the second show in the end!!!! Luckily I made that plans, so I bought tickets for the new first show, and I attented two concerts there...

My fear is that I might not be so lucky again  :o

"By the 30th of August a code will be mailed which shall be used between the 31st of August and 2nd of September."

Do you think that sentence means that the presale would be between that dates?

How would you use that code between that days if its not in the presale?

Yes but read again what you posted before:

The code that will be sent from various retailers to those who pre-order the album will be for use in the MarkKnopfler.com ticket presales. What the code gives you is priority seating, based on order number, ahead of other presale buyers.

That sounds logical...

so if the presale starts on september 3rd, logical says they have to publish the tour dates about three days before at least...

I may be wrong, but I understand that MK.com will allow in their presale a box or something to introduce that codes, so they will know that you have priority against others when buying at the presale...

Thats what I understand  ???

So the logical says the presale will be held by countries in different moments... Unfair if I want to attend the first show, I cant know which one will be unless all dates are announced together.

Nice idea, but you clearly chose the wrong artist for doing things like that. MK didn't even give greetings to Isaac, a man who followed ALL shows of the Get Lucky tour, he rarely gives autographs as he used to do in earlier years - he doesn't even stop the Limousine while driving by at a group of fans waiting in the pouring rain - really, there are better artists out there when it comes to friendly fan treatment - i guess in a way everyone who attends one of his shows is a get-a-lifer or at least a rudiger in his eyes....

only pity that I do like his art waaaaay too much to get too angry about this!  ;D

No, not really private.   He asked us what we had been doing since we last met (which we hadn't) and when I regained the power of speech, I managed to say that we had been to a lot of his concerts and enjoyed them all, which he said he was very pleased to hear.  My husband was far more composed than I was and asked him about how he was feeling about the concert that evening.  I can't remember another thing - not even saying goodbye, because we were both so astonished at what had just happened!  I do remember that a traffic jam had built up behind his limo - it was rush hour - and there was a lot of hooting of car horns!   :lol

A year later, we went to Pagham to see The Bluesclub Band and suddenly, there was Danny shaking our hands!  He had also been in the car with MK.   He said it was nice to see us again - I couldn't believe he had remembered us after all that time!  I asked him why Mark had stopped the car to speak to us in Newcastle and he said he had recognized us.   I personally think, because it was Newcastle, we were people he thought he knew from his life there, but whatever, it was very special to us and we will never forget it!   :)

MK did sign the gift to Isaac on the last show.
Being front of stage I was personaly lucky enough to handshake Mark twice at the RAH at the end of the show

Mark only stops now if there are less than 10 (or even 5) people waiting otherwise he doesn't. Have to be at the right place at the right moment...and alone!

I think that was the limit for MK, second night it was forbidden to film, still some recordings, but 3rd night was impossible to film because of security.

I was in front of the stage, a little to the left but didn't see a bag full of DVD's

And the best video of the 2008 tour is made the 3rd night by Waldo ;) There is a 20GB version of it on the tracker.

Mmmm, Dublin...

I also like that!
Wherever it is I will like and I hope I can go !  ;D
I can't believe there were no recordings of the 3 last kick off shows.  :'(

2008 there is, or am I really wrong. 2010 was US, not recording and 2011 with BD was Dublin and I didn't check if there was a recording made

Sorry for not being precise.  :-[
I was not thinking of 2008 but 2010 North America, 2010 Europe and Dublin 2011.  :)
It's good to read comments on the 2008 kick off. It gives strength and motivation.

Sorry but the 3rd night's bluray was made by someone else ;)
and I filmed the encores for that, coz that person, could not run across the first rows of chairs fast enough. And behind me I could here Paul crockford telling Waldo to stop filming, but I was too deep in the mass of people. Great night! And first they said, standing show, then we entered, running and saw all those chairs, confusion! Then they'd said "no filming" but when we asked again, it was ok,so Waldo ran outside again to go get his camera,...aaah what a night...

Yes, and at Halle on July 3rd 2013..

Not sure which Halle, Halle(Westf) or Halle(Saale) in East Germany...

I had an old phone number from a German Ticket service called "Tickets per Post", which was my ticket source before I used the internet...
I called them and I was told that two dates are "already set up, but not official and still in test modus, so they might change" - Halle and Leipzig, from
Halle she knew the date already.

Questions;

Is it difficult to get tickets to the RAH shows through MK.com?
Is it even possible to get for the last show (saturday)?
Are the tickets in any way refundable?

Let me try to help:

You have to sit in front of your computer at the given Presale Start time (RAH f.e. Aug 29, 9am BST, that's Wednesday!) and order as fast as you can.
You must have an account at MK.com, if you don't have yet, hurry up and subsribe! You then will have to wait until you get answer within a few week's time and exactly get told which seats you have got - in general they are very good, within the first 4,5 rows I would say.

When Presale starts at the given time, you can order at the concert you have in mind. All six RAH show presales start at the same time, as mentioned above. So you can choose which show you want to order, or order all six in a row if you like!

Refundable: In general, no. You won't get a physical ticket but have to print the confirmation mail. Then take this print to the RAH at the night of the show and fetch your ticket after maybe even showing your credit card which you used to buy the tix.

BUT: The people at MK.com are willing to help. If you are not able to attend a show and can foresee it some time before, you will be able to mail to and ask them for a solution. It has happened before. You can f.e. try to get rid of a ticket here at AMIT and then try to convince the MK.com people to change the name and dates that are desposed.

Hope this help!  ;)

Just a quick question, i'll be going to see him in Dublin as soon as that date is announced.

Where would be best to order tickets does anyone know? M.K.com or ticketmaster?(our most popular ticket site)

Presale mk.com most of the time is best for first rows, however sometimes it happens you are on row 4 way to the left or right and then it would be better to have by example row 10 middle.
But presale most of the time is the best

I would advise you to take a chance on MK.com.  Most people seem to get good seats and I've had some very good seats too.  Thing is you can't choose your seats so you take a chance.  On the GL tour my seats were poor in Glasgow and Lucca where I was front row in both shows but near the end of the row.

Ordering the box there is ok, but big chance to have it in hands later than when you get it in your local shop or online in your own country. If you also buy the deluxe (like I do) local then it's no problem, you have main part in hands on releasedate and can wait for the box to arrive a couple of days later

I dont really mind waiting for the box even if it is a couple of weeks because i think i'll go into my local shop next weekend and see if they have the deluxe 3cd as well, just to get the live and unmixes tracks :D

Excellent news to start the week.  ;D

Right now, I would go to RAH 1st June and of course St-Julien-en-Genevois which is 20 minute away from home.  ;D
A huge surprise for me.  8)

Will work on the Budapest, Newcastle, Brighton and Liverpool options.
I'm happy with the list.  I see many options although UK is not my main target this time  and May is not an easy month for me.

Two concerns...

1st. If Glasgow ir not will be the first date, I want to attend the first date, and presale is on wednesday... Is the SECC very big? Can I let it go and trust that as soon as we know if its the first date, buy tickets and expect not bad tickets?

2nd. The RAH, the presale is just for arena A-F, rows 1-21, but I rather buy stalls... Should I wait to the general sale then, or wait the RAH presale, or the Ticketmaster presale? Oh God...

So, Ingrid, is it best not to book on Wednesday and wait for RAH presale, or go for Arena tickets?   When does RAH presale start?   Oh I am in a quandary!   What is everyone else doing?   ::)

I go for Arena as always, so mk.com is the best.
If you want stalles it's best to wait for RAH-presale, but you have to be a member of RAH if I understood well.

Presale RAH Wednesday 9am BST at mk.com.
I don't know about RAH -presale, I'm not in their mailinglist or memberlist or whatever

The SECC holds about 10,000 seated in hall 4 which is used for concerts.

I actually have a photo here with it next to the Clyde Auditorium for comparison.  There was a discussion a few days ago:

Refundable: In general, no. You won't get a physical ticket but have to print the confirmation mail. Then take this print to the RAH at the night of the show and fetch your ticket after maybe even showing your credit card which you used to buy the tix.

Has it been easy to pick up the tickets at the venue on earlier tours? Haven't done it before and I haven't been at the RAH before so I would like to know how it works out. I will also consider making a trip to London for a couple of days around the MK shows and attend a one or two  :)

Questions;

Hope this help!  ;)

LE

Thank you very much for your answer LE!
At least there's a possibility for me to see him in the Albert Hall this tour. Not sure yet, tho.

what are the arena seats like 5 or 6 rows back? Can you still see ok or do you get the persons in front head in the way etc.?
I got shafted in the hammersmith pre-sale being given a restricted view seat so i want to be sure before i commit this time.
Last time at rah i was in stalls directly in front of the band rather than the side which was ok although a bit distant.
Title: Re: 2013 Tour
Post by: superval99 on August 27, 2012, 07:49:00 PM
I believe that the arena seats are not staggered, so you have someone seated immediately in front of you.  However, I was in the stalls directly in front of the band for STP tour and I felt really disconnected from everything - it was just too far away, so I think I will book for the arena, in the hope I can at least get to the stage for the encores.

Yes, I wondered about this too;  the non-staggered seating issue.  I have never been in the arena in the RAH, always the stalls and I've always managed to get a good seat.  Last time I got an excellent seat but of course you can't rush the stage or meet the AMITers!  Something which was to my great loss and I'm sure to put right this time.

From mk.com

As we hinted at recently, Mark will indeed be touring in support of his new album, Privateering. The first set of UK and European dates have been confirmed and MarkKnopfler.com will be holding members-only presales for these shows, starting this Wednesday, August 29.

For the full list of announced shows and presale dates for the Privateering tour, please visit our Tour page. There will be many more show and presale dates being announced in the coming weeks.

As a special bonus for UK members buying tickets for the UK shows, for every order of two tickets or more, you will receive a code to redeem for a free copy of Privateering.

The way he divides the show is very funny. Don't blame the journalist, it's been a long time since Mark has visited that part of France. ::)
Here, we've only heard rumors about Mark's gigs.
Geneva last year doesn't count, another country and it was a Bob Dylan show anyway.  ;D

It's absolutely true they delayed the festival. Usually takes place last week-end of July and it used to be even later a few years ago.
Every year, near the motorway, I see a big guitar announcing the festival and I've always wonderedhow interesting it was.
I wanted to see ZZ Top last month. Too bad I was going on vacation that same day.
Next year I won't go on vacation or in Spain the following week.  ;)

So, would someone like to comment?  It would nice to know before the presale begins.  :)

Never eVer, prolly some bad translation...

You are right. I let you find a better translation for "Une heure lui seul et une heure avec Dire Strait, son groupe mythique."  ;D

I have serious doubt about this to be true - actualy too good to be true so I won't go there. And I bet it will happen!

I try to get tickets tomorrow morning for the concert May 27th at the RAH in London for me and my husband! It will be the first time that we visit there, but reading all the stories and watching the site of the RAH, it should be a great building!

Ooohhh well even when Mark would play in a cabin somewhere in the mountains I still would be excited being there watching him and listening to his beautiful music! .......Hhhhhmmm the vision I just get! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/Fieneke2/Emoticons/Grinsmiley.gif)

I have seen MK there 5 times now.
Once in 2005

Twice in 2010

I'll be there 1st 2 nights.

I've got Arena A-F, rows 1-21 for 30 May at RAH.

That was the standard choice on mk.com for the presale but I'm a little dissapointed that they're not offering G and O this time like they did for KTGC and GL tours.

Let's hope buying the tickets at 9am on the dot means that we'll  be nearer the front of it than the back.

Looks really cool to be there, but for me 1 june fits better. I had loved to be there too :-\ Hope to see a bunch of these people at the Amsterdam (Knopflerized, Ingridswing, Pottel?, BBB, JeroenVG, superval?) or maybe some German (LE?) show.

I can confirm that the rooms in my house are "booked" by Knopflerized, Pottel, BBB and of course myself.
JeroenVG will be there too I heard. Superval doesn't like standing, but who know she changes minds because I told her that early entry saves a lot of waitingtime, so feet will hold on longer ;-)

Haha Ingrid - I did add that it was not because I'm old and feeble, well I can't deny I'm old, but I'm certainly not feeble - I just like to have a nice relaxing meal before the show and then go to my seat without rushing!   ;D

Sorry for being incomplete. I am not suggesting youare old! You aren't because I know it. When you're old you will not travel around Europe to see MK anymore ;-)

Yeah, it's a Tennis Arena - so not a football or sport stadium.. The number of seats varies pretty much the same as in any O2 Arena, 9500 to 12000... But it is indeed Openair - he was never in Germany so late the last tours.

Would be cool to know if he plays in Hamburg at the Stadtpark again - pretty nice venue, would love to see him there again... remember 1996 the rain concert...

I think we got tickets for Bournemouth (and my MK wife did notice it went on early and I think got them at around 10.20), Brighton and three of the RAH shows. I'm the one he tends to say, "Let's have a night off occasionally", especially as MK so rarely varies his set list. That said, he's gonna have a lot of songs on PRIVATEERING from which to choose, so perhaps a bit more variation is in the offing. Maybe we'll try for one or two more when the tickets go on regular sale.

I think we may have got things a little mixed up and have extra tickets for one of the RAH shows but so it goes. I guess we'll be able to work something out with someone, somewhere along the line.

We've not really considered shows in mainland Europe this time but are now turning our minds to one or two of the BD-MK shows in the States.  We shall see.

The point is that for me it would be perfect if everything was online, and I would just get the tickets at the concert day at the venue. Otherwise, if they do send the tickets or some kind of confirmation code physically, it would never reach me. It's a bit complicated, I know, but I have to attend a show next year, and for me is hell to plan everything. :D

Thanks Dan; that makes it easier to follow!   :)

With regard to the MK/BD tour I just thought I'd throw in my 2 bits:
I can think of several good reasons why Mark took the opportunity to team up with Bob - not the least of which are the exposure, including the various promotional benefits, and the logistical convenience of touring with another major artist.

They are playing within walking distance of my house.  I have that day, and the following day off work.  I won't be going.

I honestly can't justify paying to see Mark do a truncated set that will be about half the length of his recent solo shows - and at the same time knowing that a significant chunk of my money went to Bob Dylan, who I most definitely do NOT want to see.

In my opinion, Dylan is an artist best appreciated on record.  Mark Knopfler on the other hand is an artist who is truly a joy to see live, and arguably even better than on record.  But I'd prefer to have the full meal deal - not just the snack pack.
So I'll take my chances and skip this one.  I'm quite happy waiting for the next MK solo tour of North America - even if that's after his next album comes out in 2015 or later.
And in answer to the obvious question, "Well what if Mark doesn't tour again?"   I'm okay with that too.  I've seen him a few times over the years and I have some wonderful memories - and of course, many great recordings to enjoy.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

(But I am still a bit envious of all of you in Europe who will get to see the "Privateering" tour in 2013!  Hopefully there will be some officially sanctioned live recordings made available again!)

The German venues are really strange this time ??? Bremen instead of Hamburg, Regensburg instead of Munich, Halle instead of Oberhausen or Hannover. I guess that those arenas are much cheaper than the big ones. Does that mean that the tickets will be cheaper too?  ;D

They are also smaller in general. But after 2010 and 2011, they might have enough from all those O2 Arenas. Keep in mind it is basically the same band for years now, maybe they just want to see something new! I would be very surprised if Munich and Hamburg would not be on the list, these towns have been visited at every tour since...??

Recent tours have included 3 nights in a row @ HMH, which has been great.
I normally stay for 2 of the shows.
Let's hope they add some more, & soon, so I can make my mind up!
There are a few dates before & after that are free, so fingers crossed.

In fact since the first announcement, we're set in Geneva. St-Julien-en-Genevois is Geneva.   ;D
Wonderful and unexpected !

I rather have all the dates at once, It helps to organize what shows to attend... if not you will end buying tickets for a concert near your town, just to discover days after that there is a concert in your town...

Idiotic!

Hi everyone! I'm kind of new here. I'll be going to the show in Amsterdam. I'm just trying to figure out whether the tickets for the floor are seated or not.
I've never been to the ziggo dome before and will be going with my dad, who cannot stand for the length of an entire show ;-). On the presale page on markknopfler.com it says floor section A-C, rows 1-20. Chances are high that, even though there may be seats on the floor, people will stand anyway, right?
Perhaps I'll just go for the seats on the first floor...  :)

Seems they have taken a leaf from the book Dylan in taking bookings for this tour.  I seem to recall we were outraged by the same thing with the BD/MK tour 2011 and Bob's management.

I mean, if there is nothing on it that can provide more information, there is no reason to past it here, you can tell us what it says that its important about the concert.

Check the Tour page for start times of presales for the shows listed below. Please note we will not be conducting a presale for the Russian dates, so keep an eye on the Tour page for public sale details.

I think most of the dates have been announced.
There's still a few dates after London, but they could make a break before going to Russia.
In July, between the 06th and the 09th and the 12th (maybe Switzerland) , between the 22th and the 25th
And after the 27th, other spanish ou portuguese dates.
There are more French shows than usually (7 !!!) This disn't happen since the GH tour !

It's not certain there will be an 8-piece band. The press release is the same everywhere and is based on either the previous solo tour or the upcoming tour in North America.

I'm hoping that the line-up isn't set yet for 2013. Would be great to see an addition!

I will help you counting:

Not seated:
5.500 standing + 666 balcony = 6.166 (balcony is always seated)

Seated:
3.500 + 666 = 4.166

I don't count the viploges, it's not always used, and when it's used it's only sponsors etc.
So that doesn't count  ;D

Today several ticket agencies started their presales for the tickets that were not sell yet by MK.com of the British concert...

Which means that today was my day to buy my stalls for the RAH. Unfortunatly most of them required codes as they were private presales, except ticketline that sold directly the tickets... And I bought tickets for Stalls for Saturday 1st June  :)

Not the one I wanted, that ones probably were sold by the others agencies with private presales, but good seats anyway.

At least I have my tickets. Now at the end of the month I

The last gig will be San Sebastian unless they put Lisbon after it...

There are two spanish dates that had been announced by the spanish promoter and in local press that are not yet in MK.com I dont know why, and are Gijon and San Sebastian, Gijon will be two days after Malaga and San Sebastian next day to Gijon.

No, the extra spanish dates, confirmed in Spanish newspapers aren't there.

There are some strange gaps to fill which could be Dublin and Switzerland:

dates before 2nd of May sounds normal because a lot of travelling, equiment has to be there too
2,3,4,5 May gigs
6 May  Day off normal
7,8 May gigs
9 May day off  that's a quick day off
10,11,12 May gigs
13 May day off is quick too
14,15 May gigs
16 May day off quick again
17,18,19 May gigs UK
20 May day off quick
21,22 May gigs UK
23 May day off quick
24,25 May gigs UK
26 May day off normal before set in RAH
27,28,29,30,31 May 1 June gigs RAH
2 June day off normal
3 to 6 June days off Can't be
7,8,9 June gigs
10 June off normal
11,12,13,14,15,16 June gigs Scandinavia
17 June day off Normal
18,19,20 June gigs
21 June day off normal
22,23,24 June gigs
25 June day off normal
26,27,28,29,30 June gigs
1 July day off normal
2,3,4,5,6 July gigs
7,8 July days off Switzerland would fit here
9 July gigs
10,11 July days off sound unlogical, Swiss would fit here too
12,13,14 July gigs
15 July day off normal
16,17 July gigs
18 July day off could be equipment has to come back from Malta
19 July gig
20 July day off unlogical
21,22 July gigs
23,24 July days off too much after 2 days gig and before also a day of and only 1 gig
25,26,27 July gigs
28 July day off could be
29,30 July gigs
End???? 31st of July is wednesday so maybe another addition

My 2 cents: Dublin May 16 or May 23

I also asked if new presales were expected for next week, because I am on a 9 days holiday.
They answered that this was not the case and that Ireland and Switzerland were not planned AT THIS TIME.
So they didn't say there won't be dates.

In the I Paper article treath started by knopflerfan:

"We're doing 75 minutes each, then I've got time to get back on and play with Bob for a few songs. We had fun in Europe, the bands get on great and the crews get on great.

"I see Bob every day on tour. His soundcheck goes into mine, so we'll have a little chat about what songs I'm going to do.

Sounds great and really worth recording and listening!!!

I got the following answer a couple of days ago :
There are currently no confirmed plans for Mark to perform
in Ireland, Switzerland or Portugal - sorry about that. Any future dates will be
posted on http://www.markknopfler.com/tour/ and in a MarkKnopfler.com newsletter.

They know how to answer without giving any clue.
I don't understand their logic.
If you wait for a date in your country and eventually there's none, it's too late to find a replacement show and you buy no ticket.
If they announce early they won't visit your country, you have time to plan something else.

It might be a coincidence, but...

Yesterday I was watching a tv show about the crisis, how affected to the rescued countries in the UE and how close is Spain following the steps of the rescued countries to the crash... and realised that the countries that have noy any MK Tour Dates yet are the countries that are rescued and that their economy is very affected...

Portugal, Ireland and Greece

And Spain has 5 dates, three more than usual, but some less than GL tour, but thats because we are naive people still thinking that there will be a magical solution and we didnt realise yet how bad are we...

I repeat that it might be a coincidence but...

Portugal, Ireland and Greece have only ever had one show each anyway so I doubt that would be any issue and Ireland were bailed out a number of years ago.  MK could have a show in NI anyway and that would surely have no problem selling tickets.  The reduced Spanish schedule may be due to their current status though, and our Swiss friends may just have to put up with having a show on the French border as their "local" show.

Got mail from MK.com very recently. Got row 4, unfortunately what seems to be on the far left. It's close for sure, but yet not sure if I'm satisfied with it.

Wrote it 30 seconds earlier it was started. ;)

I repeat that it might be a coincidence but...
and Switzerland...  ;D  :D  :-X  ::)  :o  8)

And a little birdy told me not to Portugal, Ireland and Greece neither...

Actually it looks like this is it, I dont know what they wait to announce that the tour dates are complete, unless they have any German date announced...

I know it's dead for Switzerland  >:(  >:( >:(
I still hope the 72 gigs / 25 countries rumor is correct but it would mean , if ever there's some logic, more Germany, more France or more UK. ???

Guy has confirmed on his website from a fan qustion that the tourdates for 2013 are now finalized..

Finalized does only mean that the internal planings are done. It does not mean that all dates are already announced.

So no Greece once again. I guess they are afraid to commit with the current financial situation, even if presale starts today, almost a year before the concert. But Sofia and Constantinople, but not Athens? It is a mystery.

By the way the reason I asked in the first place, is because paroucia is the Greek word for "presence".

@Vgonis
I remember when i was reading a book about Jesus Christ and i found out he will return from heaven to earth to guid us again to right way(or something like thatY sorry my english isn't good enough :( ) any way ancient people call this return "paroucia" but the book was in Persian and i just imagine it could be "paroucia" ! sorry if it is not true! :(

The Second Coming of the Lord is actually "Deutera Paroucia" in Greek so you got it alright!!!

If you compare it to the last solo  tour, it follows roughly the same pattern in terms of length and time of year so I think personally that is it until next time.  I could always be proved wrong though...
