Post by: Jarle on August 21, 2012, 12:22:16 PM
It seems that the long avaited secret from Guy is his work in British Grove with Vincente Amigo. They recorded i June, and the mixing is starting this month. See Guy's diary:

Really interesting. Since I paid more attention to the BG-Studio, I got to know new (for me: new) music that I really like, i.e. Sonny Landreth and Bap Kennedy. So maybe Vincente Amigo will be a new discovery for me, too ....

Its VICENTE (Spanish), non Vincente (Italian...)

Jarle wrote it wrong, I already sent him a message to change it asap.

Mone Dee, Vicente Amigo is one of the best flamenco guitar player, that plays flamenco fussion. If you have Spotify or any other way to play his music streaming (Youtube will do the trick) search for his stuff, its great.

I recently found these two albums:
http://www.discogs.com/Difford-Tilbrook-Difford-Tilbrook/master/332407
Guy plays in this one, from 1984.
http://www.discogs.com/Brendan-Croker-Guy-Fletcher-On-The-Big-Hill/master/415070
And this one just before TNH get together.

A small world after all.

Remember though that The Billies played a one-off gig in 1986 in Leeds (without Guy though) so technically they (the Billies) got together then and not 1990 when the album was released.  :)
