OMG, this is GOLD! Where you've found it??? AMAZING!
Why I can't find any information about it?
Why this discussion not in a Main section???

Here's the FB post: https://www.facebook.com/TheEverlyBrothersErikTielman/posts/502172953213877

Pottel, I think because it's just a Evs releated thing, not MK releated. But it's a kinda strange, yes :)

Mark is not a voice-over, but recording is strange too. A little bit of room in it, I think he recorded it in his home :)

Mark said in video "congratulations to Everly Brothers for your today's beloved award in Nashville". About awards:

In 1997 the brothers were awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004. Their pioneering contribution to the genre has been recognized by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. The Everly Brothers have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7000 Hollywood Blvd. In 2004, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked The Everly Brothers No. 33 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Times. They are also No. 43 on the list of UK Best selling singles artists of all time.

So it was recorded... then? 2001?

This reminds me Jim Morrison's spoken poems, by the way :)

Wow amazing, all those classic Evs tunes haven't dated badly, they're very listenable and sonically well recorded as well as being great great songs!

Thanks, Shangri-la for finding this gem.  And thanks, foma, for the great information.      This thread really should be in the MK Discussion section, I think.   It's directly related to Mark.     On first listen, I didn't hear 'All I Have to Do Is Dream.'
Maybe Why Worry isn't on there because all the songs played are very early.   They had a hit about the same time as Why Worry--Wings of a (bird of some kind)  so sorry I can't remember the name.   i think it was the 80s.
Thanks again, Shangri-la!

Thanks Shangri-la for fixing this.   I tried to move it and messed it up.   You are always there to the rescue!

I believe the audio portion is from the Everly Brothers induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.  But it appears that someone has replaced the original video with a different slide show.

Here is the video that I found:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk1TnSjNzLE

It does seem to be an honor for MK to have been asked to do this video, given the number of very well known musicians in both country music and rock and roll who have worked with and been influenced by the  Everlys over the years, including Chet Atkins.  Given that their induction was done in 2001, which is the same year that Chet Atkins died, perhaps Mark was asked because of his friendship with Chet, if Chet was too ill (or had already passed away)

The video is deleted or something. And apparently, the creator of this video is not with us anymore.

Is there at least 1 in 1000000 chance someone downloaded this video somewhere? I just don't know how to get it again.

UPD: It's deleted on Dailymotion as well for no apparent reason. I remember this vid being very unpopular, but eventually it got huge attention.

Foma,  I read your question at Guy's forum today. It seems at least the Video above is still up and running? How long was the other video?

WOW! Thank you for pointing it out. Original video was better, but still this is amazing! The answer was closer than I thought :smack :smack :smack

I didn't find it because this video with Mark narrating the story have no mentions of Mark whatsoever. How could it be? I'm mad :disbelief

Are only the pictures changed but MK's narrative part is the original one? I checked here and there and thought I had heard almost everything earlier.

Before asking Guy, always ask at AMIT first! ;-)

I asked already as you can see earlier, but seems like you wasn't around at the time. So it's more like ask LE before asking Guy :clap

The pictures were different, maybe it was't pictures at all with some video portion, I just can't remember it. But it was different.

MK should do audio books. Non fictional Meditation audio books.

He should write one first then :D

I love to play audiobooks by Stephen Fry, they're amazing. I think Mark is the kind of guy who can write a book on the history of blues.
