"On Charlotte Street I took a walking stick from my hotel
The ghost of Dirty Dick is still in search of Little Nell
That's what it is..."
I've often thought that the Edinburgh hotel in Question must surely be The Roxburghe in Charlotte Square (I suppose using "Square" was too obvious or didn't sound right). N and S Charlotte Street both make an entrance to the Square anyway so...
So I was passing it today, had my camera in hand and thought of the wonderful people at AMIT! Here it is:

Had my Christmas work party there a few years ago and thought that must be it. :)

Must be. I think last time they played Edinburgh they stayed in The Balmoral because Guy spoke of the guys going back to the Number One Bar post show. It's also handy for The Playhouse while this was more convenient for The Usher Hall.

I really want to see Mark in Edinburgh! The dates that best fit my schedule (and currently his) ;D ...are May 21, or the 24-28. What do you all think? Am I being too hopeful????

Yes Lis, there's a date in Glasgow so no Edinburgh again.

Edinburgh's not a million miles away! I live between the two cities and there are 4 trains an hour that take you right into the heart of each city in less than an hour.
They aren't big cities either. Edinburgh can be walked around on foot, for the best part.

It is really a timing issue for me... I will be able to sell a 2.5 week vacation to my boss a lot easier than a 3 week vacation. That being said... if I can get to the UK in time for Glasgow, I will CERTAINLY want to go (read: in the next few weeks, I am likely to start a new post "Looking for Glasgow tickets...) :D . And if there is any downtime for us on the trip, I will be sure to visit Edinburgh, even without Mark. :P
...but it's better with Mark.
:lol
