Title: Telegraph Road - first two solos
Post by: raykroc on January 31, 2017, 04:39:47 PM

Made use of the Telegraph Road backing track advertised in the main forum:

One day I'll do the last solo, too...

Good job! Seems like it's too fast for you still, try to practice it slowly. I like your bends! I don't like your hammer-ons and pull-offs. You miss them when they're needed and make them then they're not necessary at all. Listen closely to the original. And keep playing! Lovely Strat colour by the way.

Thanks for the feedback! I suppose there's a few extra hp-s there - I hadn't listened to the original for a while - but I'd appreciate it if you could point to where I missed something! I had time for just one take once I'd found a somewhat satisfactory sound, so I know it's not perfect.

For what it's worth, I finally had a chance to do a better take - I took down the old one, since I realized there was an actual mistake or two there when I listened properly to the original. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMgkVgQdBLY.

Let's see if embedding works, too!
