Title: Portnoy Brothers - BIA cover
Post by: Banjo99uk on February 12, 2017, 01:32:25 AM
Do a google search for Portnoy Brothers cover of BIA. It's actually very tasteful and I'm sure MK would approve as he likes the sound of The Evs Brothers singing. The guitarist does a great job as well I think.
Whilst you're at it check out the Michaela Danner violin cover as well.

From my amateurish point of view, they play well.
But concerning the video, it’s unbearable to look at that guy with glasses, when he sings. The mere look of him arouses an impulse to burst into tears and feed him.

I liked the cover right when it was released!

This is a trouble you can come across often on YouTube (and not only there, though)... not everybody looks beautiful while singing, especially on a ballads like this, especially on a close-ups (oh my god). I prefer Mark's humble approach on singing with as little emotions as possible, it's like classical guitar players who sits there and play like they're sitting on a toilet, and here's John Christopher Williams, who you can watch without a vomit bag performing literally anything. As always, it all comes down to the basic taste.

Why, the boy looks nice.
His manner of singing doesn't repel me. I just feel pity for him on a gut level and it hampers my enjoyment of this iconic song.
