chris rea announced his tour for this year this week , tickets now on sale with new album out in September getting excited , anyone going on here? I just got my ticket for Bournemouth on the 12th December

I will be in Berlin. i saw him in '93, '98, '02, '06, '08, 10, 12, 14 and last time I was pretty disappointed because the setlists were quite uninspired and nearly the same over the years.
And I'm not talking about static setlists on one tour - like we did many times on this forum - but nearly identical setlists in 2010, 2012 and 2014 and some other songs he always plays!
So every MK tour is a real epitome of spontaneity ;D ...
This time, however I have higher expectations because the new album is supposed to go back to the old days (style-wise) - and he recorded it in a proper studio with a real band instead of these crappy home recordings and bad productions during the last years.
So I'm hoping he will change the setlists and play some surprises...

I like very much "Road songs for lovers" Chris' last album
I find it's in the same vein as "Dancing with strangers" or "the road to hell"
beautiful melodies, great guitar tones, ambient mood, and DAT voice
