Which Version of Romeo & Juliet is this?

Cool version. Never heard it before. Nice find LE!
-
never heard it before
could "tribute" mean that it's not DS/MK ?
or could it be a demo from MM sessions ? lead licks sound quite the same as the studio version
-
Is it actually played by MK or DS or is it indeed a cover version, indeed that's the question.. somebody should know as this video is labelled as AMIT TV? Ian? Really want to know... sounds great... familiar and unfamiliar at the same time so to say...

I guess this is not MK. Sounds like some licks are not played as smoothly as MK does them. However, good playing!
-
It sounds a bit rushed and overly vigorous. Also I can hear the National while the solo is played and as far as I can remember it's always Mark playing both - and not at the same time obviously... probably a tribute band.

This sounds very clearly to my ears like Dire Straits, even on the first listen. I would suspect it is a monitor mix used for rehearsal prior to overdubs being put on. It is not live. It is a studio version and not from a tribute band.
Very, very cool and an unbelievable find. The bigger question for me is where did it come from ?

Sound like backing tracks by someone imitating MK and DS.

Ok so after the initial excitement and now listening on a good pair of headphones rather than on the phone I am now doubting myself... The bass doesn't sound right and there is percussion with modern reverb on it

I came across this "REMIX" about 6 or 7 years ago and had tried to re-find it (think the original poster must have removed it), and seeing it in LE's topic went looking for it again, and found that it had been re-published on Oct 28, 2016. I quite like the remix portions of it. It fitted the sequence tribute video so well, that I just had to use it in the middle part of the final tribute video. Apart from that I don't know much about it. ???

Might be but... I don’t think it is.

I am 100% certain this is part of the Dire Straits Jam series cd. Romeo and Juliet is one of the tracks covered.

The guitar playing is fantastic but it is not MK or Dire Straits.
