So far it's the first song on the album written by Mark Knopfler and not by Guy Fletcher.

All the "experimental" songs are now skippers for me... But this one is a very good one.

Would fit in nicely on STP.

ha I'm glad I wasn't wrong ;)
The bridge is very close to the bridge in Sands of Nevada. :)
In fact the whole song is Nevada-esque.
I wonder what's up with MK and Nevada. ;D

Did you say that too? Ha! Can't both be wrong! :lol
Pretty haunting little song, love it.
Didn't he go falsetto in Paraguaaaayyyy? :)
And I see you 've already nailed the chords! Thanks for that. Sleepless night? :wave
Am I the only one who find the "Come a’cow cow yicky yicky yea' thing ridiculous and out of place in this song?
The feeling of the song is quite sad but sounds beautiful but when the yickiyea falsetto arrives... It gets ruined for me.
Other than that: Lighten up, folks.
Other than that: Lighten up, folks.
Why?
Because you want?
I don't remember any rule that prevent anyone to express what they feel or think about anything related to a MK song or live show etc, but I recall very well a rule about NOT TELLING PEOPLE WHAT THEY CAN SAY.
Just saying.
It's ridiculous that is needed to remember people about this again and again. It's so simple...

Hey, hey! Do I detect a little smile there? :)
No, of course not.

I don't smile when someone says other "lighten up" as having different opinions are not allowed.
You keep using the word "allowed". It's not about allowing or not allowing differing opinions. I'm just addressing the party poopery going on around here. It's a new album release from one of our favorite artists, a cause for celebration, and some of you are simply stuck in a completely bleak and negative outlook on things. It really is incredible. A rotten apple ruins the barrel.
A 10 for me is not album related but generally MK/DS repertoire alike. A 10 would be TR or SAN or 5.15 am..
