This must be one of the most beautiful things MK has done in general! Such a classic melody, these vocals and harmonies. Fell in love immediately!

love it !
@dmg : for slide he usually plays the 64 strat these days, but here the tone is warmer, rounder, so it could also be the Danelectro like on Donnegan's gone, but not sure
Strange he uses the strat for slide these days. The danelectro suits better for that sounds, he even have a danelectro signature called the jizzblaster...
I really believe that the man who played slide on Tracker and the man who played the solo in this beautiful piece of art is not the same ;)
It is a cross between the authenticity of Ry Cooder and the romantic warmness of Chris Rea. Magnificent guitar work for a magnificent song.

After Nigel Hitchcock now Robbie being the second guest Musician asking fans about info of the album.
I find it strange that they not even know more about a release they are playing on, not to mention getting a free copy... maybe I am naive in expecting that. But contributing on an artists work of that calibre one might expect some more vibe about it?

This song could have totally been written by Jeff Lynne. The melody and lyrics especially. Beautiful.
I have a little "scratch" on the right channel around 3:58.There is no "scratch" in my version (CD and Downloadcode wav).
I have a little "scratch" on the right channel around 3:58. it doesn't appear on the YT link

The more I listen to DTRW the more I like every song on it. I'm even starting to accept Heavy Up.
EHITR is delightful!
The more I listen to the album the more I really enjoy this song, just a really nice melody and the slide playing is perfect, Absolutely hate the theromin sounding synth line though, but can overlook it,
I've been thinking about the lyrics a lot and it almost seems like it could be about a musician? singing/playing in a bar? Has Mark mentioned anywhere what this song is about?
