Honestly I think they made a mistake when saying November 2nd, I’ll give it until Nov 10th and I’ll call. I have already called to complain about not receiving de delivery date yet, they removed the shipping fees and that what made me think it’s a mistake from Amazon.

Albums usually leak these days when the master discs go from the studio/label to the CD manufacturers. Somebody either rips a CD on the production line, or steals one and takes it home to rip. With watermarking individual evaluation discs, and therefore the ability to point the finger at the the exact person who has been given it, music journalists and the like won't risk passing copies around. It will probably escape online 1 - 2 days before the 16th, and then people can be disappointed with the sound quality of it before receiving the CD/Vinyl and go wow!
Expect a so called scene release to pop up at least 1-2 days before release.

Media Markt just told me a minute ago without further ado that release date is Friday but they will have it tomorrow and that I can get it then around this time. They will NOT have the Box on stock. Their system says that it will be come out in December but she checked Amazon which says Box also on Friday. But they will not get it automatically...

I find it kind of strange that the standard edition has a plastic case and not the deluxe one... Oh well.
The deluxe box set was not available at my FNAC store. Anyway this time I had no intention to buy it. I don't have a turntable, I have no use for 12'' tablatures and artwork, so I would be 64€ extra just for the 3 bonus songs on download card, which irritates me, this is a stupid rip-off. I will have no remorse getting these three by other means. I always buy everything - when it is fair.
Listening to the deluxe CD now on my hi-fi... Superb sound, as you would expect from MK :)

The idiots of Universal Spain didn't delivered the box to none of the biggest shops in Valencia (Fnac, MediaMarkt...) So i wasted the morning and put myself in risk of being trapped in a train in it suddenly rains more and everything gets flooded. Dammed fucking idiots ( forgive me for this...)

Yep,I still love to have to box but at the end, but actually there is not really an extra on it for €100,- :disbelief. No making of DVD or so, you only have de deluxe album on cd and vinyl... Was so looking foward for months (like all of you ofcourse :)) to this release day with the download and maybe some more bonus. But yeah, a big disappointment :(. I'm happy with the new album though, I really love it :clap. But around and marketing-wise omg :disbelief.
The first time in years that I think never to buy the deluxe box again when he makes a new album and maybe just download all the bonus songs Illegal :thumbsup. I always buy everything legal and original if I like, or like Mark, LOVE his/her music. But not like this anymore, this is what you get I guess :disbelief.
Maybe I think a little bit different about it in a few days/months/years :lol
So now I'm going to enjoy the album without thinking too much haha :)

It is not even available as a hi-res download.I you can make a difference in sound quality between a CD made at British Grove Studio and a so-called HD track, all things being otherwise equal (too easy to have a better master on HD and conclude than HD is better !) that can only mean that you are a dog (because dogs can hear ultrasounds, unlike humans) :)
Only the 16 track version is on qobuz in cd quality.
At least MK has admitted he is rather slow so there is hope:)

What's the point of including a digital download card inside a very expensive box with 19 songs and include in that download just 14 songs?
What joke is this?
We all should complain and claim for the remaining 5 songs.
And what about the song 20?
I have emailed MarkKnopfler.com (https://support.markknopfler.com/support/tickets/new) support regarding this. I encourage everyone else to do so to make these available to us. One has to think this was a mistake and the tracks should have been included as they have in all previous box sets.

I just made a big ceremony about listening to the album for the first time.
Afterwards I find out it WASN'T the album, because Drover's Road is on the album.
I know exactly what is on the Love Over Gold album. All the DS albums in fact, and most of MK (STP is the UK release for me but I know this was different around the world).
To me an album is a single entity, it is put together as such.
I know with Spotify and the like the concept is dying but I still cling to it, otherwise I should just turn Spotify on and select random play...

Well, look at this way, once you buy the deluxe box, you got most tracks in three different masterings (cd, digital and vinyl) which does make a huge difference in terms of sound. It’s not too bad that we miss one out of twenty songs.
Secondy, from what I heard so far (my box arrives tomorrow...), it’s an incredibly good record, great songs and a new tour is scheduled so maybe but just maybe we should complain a little less? :think

Agree, this album is so much better than Tracker. This is in the top 3 with Privateering and The RP Dream.
I made my tour debut last time with Tracker tour and I am more than excited for the DTRW tour next year, especially since i got row 1 through FA, will try to record the whole show! :lol

I would totally agree here with the inclusion of Sky and Water for Floating Away. Also put Every Heart on the main album with When You Leave as a bonus.

I have also given the new album a good listening from my hi-fi system and also on my mp3 player and and it is definitely growing on me. I have actually managed to listen from the beginning to the end, without gritting my teeth too many times - actually only once during Just a Boy! ::)
As with all of MK's albums, not all of his songs are immediate - they need a little time! He is probably one of the few artists I would do this for, but I love his voice, his style of singing, his lyrics and, of course his guitar. There is no obvious skipper at the moment, except, maybe, Slow Learner, but I'm sure that will come eventually. I haven't taken the three extra tracks into consideration, because of the poor quality, but I'm sure I will love them eventually from what I've already heard.
I make no apologies, or excuses for liking Dancefloor and GOYS so much, because I do like them a lot and people have varying tastes. I loved Tracker and Privateering almost from the start and still do - they are both great albums for me! :)

Funny enough, I was kind of disappointed with GOYS when it came out, but in the context of the album I came to like it a lot.

I would say so. Maybe a bit early to say but I think it's one of his best solo songs. Could be fantastic live.

But you haven't. I don't have a record deck, (I hope to again at some point,) and the reason I bought the box set was purely for those digital downloads, so I could have all the tracks on my iPhone and PC. I don't think that is too much to expect for the amount of money the box set costs, but everyone has their own opinion.
I'm still waiting for my box set to be delivered, out of interest.

I also agree with the ones that mentioned Gilmour's boxes as comparisons, which are smaller in size to the MK's ones but they are extremely nice contaning a lot of material, both as physical stuff inside the box and as audio/video musical material, and you know what it costs less than half, 40 euros.
