Hi,
I would like to share this new HD version (excellent quality) of an old MK interview from 1990 by the late dane Hans Otto Bisgaard.
This version is made directly from the source by the Danish Cultural Heritage (Danish Radio). A big thanks to them for this and patience for my requests !.
Mark Knopfler talks about the new group The Notting Hillbillies and Dire Straits. The video includes clips from "Sultan of Swing', 'Money for Nothing' and 'Walk of Life'.
Nothing new. Only way better quality than the old VHS versions.

I am editing a new version right now. Cutting out the video snippets of "Its Money That matters". Thats the violation. Will create a torrent later as well.

Obviously, it was not recorded in HD (720 or 1080) back in the day. Anyway, it is of course the best quality possible so we all should be really happy with this new video.

yes, it could be an interview in a hotel room before a Hillbillie show. His dresscode is typically Hillbillie-style (not Mark's normal style) of those days.

They say in the video that they met Mark at a hotel just around the corner from where he lived.
Nice interview, I'd say. Nice to see and hear a version of Mark that's a bit quicker and more "alive" than he is now. (Age difference, I know.) He does come across a little "cocky" though, but I guess that's what superstardom for several years does to you.

Mark seems a different person these days to what he was in the 70s and 80s. Even though he was a bit on the cocky side, I still adored him. These days, even with his flaws, I like him a lot more! ;)

Age and a happy family situation have changed him a lot, I think. He is mellower and appears kinder. I don't think he ever was a bad guy, but he always seemed to come across as laconic and indifferent when he was younger.

I think since interviews for his last album he appears different now. Since he went solo in 1996 he seemed to mellow, but now he appears agitated with everything and grumpy. ::)

Thank you for pointing that out, because there's no chance of Mark having such a bad taste in designing interiors.
