I'm looking to purchase a replica of this guitar or try and build one if anyone knows where to source parts would be appreciated  :)

I actually built one a while back. The body and hardware are relatively easy to source, the worst bit being the brass pickguard which had to come from fender USA. The neck I got from warmouth, it was ridiculously priced but worth it. The hard bit was the f500ts. In the end I ended up getting a guy in Australia to make me a replica set.

Right, you can get the brass pickguard loaded with the right pickups on my site, the correct tremolo bridge, the correct Kluson tuners, and even the neck plate with the S8001 serial number.
AFAIK nobod else makes the pickups with the correct specs. Besides some more important flaws of other replicas I have seen, mine are even wound to get the same DC as I measured myself on the original MK guitar.

there's a guy from Croatia, who owns Q pickups
He makes these:

I am interested in buying this set, I only had a conversation with him, asking about the pickups. He says he had the originals and he made them close. He measured the diameter of the wire, dc resistance, inductance, coil dimensions and Alnico magnet grade from the original pickups.

I have no idea if these are good or not. If somebody makes a purchase I would be interested in how they sound.

cheers!

I can personally vouch for Ingo and Warmoth. First off, Ingo is a gentleman and scholar. I can't thank him enough for everything he has done for us. I can't fathom the amount of hours it has taken for him to build the gear database he has, let alone all the product he has painstakingly replicated. The only thing I would ever ask of him would be some more youtube videos of MK covers!!!! Seriously, look no further than his site (https://www.mk-guitar.com/shop/), he has done the work for you. Having now sourced my second body and neck from Warmoth, I can say the quality coming out of their shop right now is stellar. I must warn you though, its easy to get distracted for hours on their site not only with their custom design tool, but browsing through the in stock section as well. See below for my completed project, and the one in the process of being built as I type this.
