Found this i my Facebook feed this morning. Funny thing is it popped up not in a Knopfler group but in a group about Edinburgh! Someone later in the thread says they saw DS at the Playhouse in '85 followed by "amazing!" The venue is the Odeon.

The guy that posted said he also saw them at the Playhouse (take it in '85). I'll never forgive my parents for not telling 9 y o me about these shows! :disbelief

Here's the venue. Sadly disused for a number of years now, however it has been purchased by someone with plans to restore it. The exterior looks better nowadays as the modern 1st-floor windows have been removed to reveal the original Art Deco railings with balcony shown in my own picture, however it is starting to need some TLC.
