Here we have a 3-Track Promo-12-Inch record by Dire Straits. USA-Warner-Brothers-Release for DJs and Radiostations only.
That record feat. three versions of Money for nothing on it. The LP-Version with 7:04min (the CD-Version and the 12-Inch Maxi-version is 8:24min) and the two edited short versions with 4:38min and 4:05min. Special Promotional-Cover, US-record plays 33.3 rpm, 1985, Matrix-number: A-Side: PRO A-1-2328-SHI QB -21445-SHI SLM 99/6, Matrix-number B-Side: PRO A-2-2328-SHI QB-21446-SHI SLM 99/6X and MASTERDISK RL (RL are the initials for mastering-legend Robert "Bob" Ludwig).
This promo-12-inch record is not so extremely rare, but cool to have it with all the three Money For Nothing-versions on it.
The press-quality of those US-WarnerBros-vinyls is excellent and the soundquality is superb. :thumbsup
PS: There are some more US-Promotional 12-Inch-records by Dire Straits like: So Far Away - Walk of life, Ride across the river, Walk of life (45-rpm and 33rpm-version), Tunnel of love with Skateaway, Alchemy - Live 3-Track-Version, So far away (extended and single-version) AND Sultans of swing, which is much rarer to get.
