Fake or not, but the tradition of hiring Mark Knopfler to strum a couple of chords will always be beyond me. Hire someone else, why Knopfler?

In 1979, Mark also play on Mavis Staples album "Oh What a Feeling"

yes I knew for Mavis Staples, but didn't know this one

I agree with Pavel. I never understood why asking MK to play on your record, but not to have the MK sound  :hmm :disbelief

He was recording with the band The Backline.
I think only one album has been released: Sandy McLelland And The Backline.

Yes, it is one of first MK contributions with other artists, and a very cool one in my opinion.
