i saw him way back in 2006. on the same bill with Buddy Guy. by far preferred the Buddy Guy performance, as jeff was doing his jazz/fusion/metal shit, that i do not really like. but i know what he can/could do, so yes, amazing loss to the musical world.

The music world is shocked and saddened by the loss of Jeff Beck. A magnificent guitarist, in a class of his own, who influenced countless players, he will never be replaced.

the same man who said that Jeff's solo on "Private dancer" was the worst one in the world ;)

my article on french media franceinfo :

I had to choose only ten songs, and I had to cover the largest era, so it's not really my personnal favorites tunes, but mostly the representatives ones

The 2nd worst he said... i think he meant that he would have played an even worse one

Mark also said this about Jeff in The British Grove Broadcast:
Lilac Wine (feat. Imelda May) – Jeff Beck, Imelda May - Emotion & Commotion (2010)
We’re going to be listening to the phenomenal guitar player Jeff Beck, accompanied by a very talented female singer – Imelda May with “Lilac Wine.”
That was Jeff Beck with Imelda May. And Imelda May is a singer full of originality and expression, and I thought she’d be just the thing for a contribution on the Down The Road Wherever album and she came in here to British Grove Studios and sang on “Back On The Dance Floor.”
Rollin’ And Tumblin’ – Live – Jeff Beck, Imogen Heap - Performing This Week… Live At Ronnie Scott’s (2015)
Let’s move on to that killer guitarist that I mentioned... Jeff Beck, who did a bunch of shows at Ronnie Scott’s a few years back with some various guests, including Imogen Heap. So, stunning guitar performance and a stunning vocal with it. This is Jeff Beck and Imogen Heap giving us “Rollin’ And Tumblin’.”
Yeah, all you can say is: “Wow!” The fabulous guitar – Jeff Beck and what a great vocal by Imogen Heap, too!

Has anyone heard rumours if Mark would participate in one of the RAH concerts for Jeff Beck in May?
So far he isn't listed in the line up.

He usually is not part of these kind of events so I guess he won't be there.
Maybe asking Guy would be helpful.

Guy has been bombarded with pressing questions, so I want to give him a little rest.

Yes I think the same.
EC did a gig for Ginger Baker, and Mark wasn't involved. Was he invited and declined ? :think
I don't know how much Eric and Mark are close friends today ? :think

Good idea, he can be temperamental and just start ignoring perfectly valid questions!

At first I thought the song would be instrumental. Beautiful version.
