Hi, a new release.

Quite a mess in the track list, uncomplete set but a superb box.
Bye

Now i have received the Blossom Music-Center 3-LP set by Dire Straits. First impression by my side: A well made set in a box, with three coloured-vinyl-discs, each in a seperated cover. Limited and numbered edition. Sound quality is pretty good. The last side of the 3-LP-Box has an etching.

Still don't understand how some unofficial releases get blocked and others stay up for so long. I like bootleg releases a lot. Some are very nice, actually look like  labours of love from fans to fans,    some look like money grabs. For big artists, like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, there is serious money behind the making of such releases, but I don't know if this is true for DS and MK. Any ideas? Are there so many fans buying them to actually make it worth?

That is the part of the history of music. The big names in music-business had been bootlegged in the past and in the present time, on vinyls or on cds, Elvis, Beatles, Stones, PF, Led Zep, Springsteen and, of course Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler. That is the business behind the business, with the bootleg-records in general. Most of the DS or MK-Bootleg records have a very good sound-quality and some of the collectors like to have them in their collections, as CDs or as Vinyls.
