Very good interview.
David is a smart guy. He knows well about his difficulties.

Another interview with David, this time with a very interesting titbit about MK's first guitar early on!

Very good one!
David always give good answers.
Even if the question is about DS, he always brings something interesting on his answers.

Another good point is when he talks about major labels x independent ones. I always thinks why DK didn't really sign for a major label and his answer explains my "criticism" about his career.

I like DK more each day.
Years ago i tried to manage him to play on Brazil and indoduce him to a fellow producer but, nothing happened.
Before i introcuce him to the producer, DK always were nice, calm and funny. After that, i didn't participate on the negociation.

What I find interesting with David Knopfler is that his singing voice seems to sound exactly as it did in 1992, when I first heard it. Whereas his brother's has changed a lot.

Just found this:
https://www.heraldscotland.com/default_content/12774182.money-something-knopflers-first-guitar-set-sell-pound-3000-auction/ (https://www.heraldscotland.com/default_content/12774182.money-something-knopflers-first-guitar-set-sell-pound-3000-auction/)
If this is true, then David sold the original Hofner in 2007.

Didn’t MK end up with it?

Yes, that's what it says on the "on every bootleg" site.
http://www.oneverybootleg.nl/MK_guitars_hofner.htm (http://www.oneverybootleg.nl/MK_guitars_hofner.htm).
At Christie's this year, he only sold a second, identical copy, acquired later.
