Well as I often dream about MK & Co, I thought it could be funny to share our dreams here !
Sometime ago I used to write down all my MK& CO dreams just to not forget them , because some are really funny... But I won't share them all... it would take me a day !!!
Here is my latest (last night) lol
I went to Lyon for a MK gig... I couldn't park, find sandwiches ect... I walked a long time in the Old Lyon then found the venue...
I came in and there was the big surprise... The stage was actually looking like a giant bed... with MY bed cover and pillows !!!
Thanks god they didn't come on stage and trample it !!!! Hey that was my bed

I have dreamed about MK many times. Not rude ones though like you ladies. Mainly about meeting him after the gigs etc.....
Last week though i dreamed that i was in Tescos shopping, and Mark walked past me with a shopping trolly wearing a pink jumper and a santa hat on. I kept trying to pluck up the courage to go up to him and say hello. But typicaly i woke up before i found out.

A few times. Not that often.
The most memorable time, I dreamed I was meeting MK, and I was so excited. He extended his hand. Just as I was about to timidly shake it, the phone rang.
The phone ringing was for real. It woke me up. I looked at the clock, and it was 6 a.m. on a Saturday. It was my next-door neighbor telling me I had to get up and get my car washed immediately because a passing commercial airliner had just dumped chemical toilet waste on our cars. He had heard it hit.
I went out, and there was a line of bluish/whitish chemical running about 100 feet or more across our parking area and across our cars.
I don't know why the heavens decided to dump all over my MK dream. I thought it was kind of rude.

I had dreamt of MK a couple of times. I don't remember them anymore. It's kind of like I knew it was him, but his face was so vague. I can interpret dreams a little bit. I hope my dream of meeting him one day will become true though. :) Wouldn't that be so cool... For now, I'm drifting off to my dreamland, perhaps MK will be there tonight.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yep MK appeared in my dreams a lot of times and most of them where short ones.Only one time I dreamed like I was having a guitar lesson with him at some beach by the sea.Because my father doesn't have hair too It transformed into him sometimes lol and I really can't remember it that well ,but I know it was a very long dream and Mark played fantastic guitar tunes all the time and talking about his guitar style like he always does(lol I surely have watched those interviews a million times).And one thing I will always remember that he said was "Listen to Blues,Listen to a lot of Blues music".I don't know if MK's style was influenced that much by a lot of blues but that's what he said lol.Then the killer clock alarm destroyed this beautiful dream which surely for me was the best of my life.Cheers :P

I had one dream about him that was so disturbing I did my best to disremember it as soon as I woke up. In the perverse nature of things (if you want to recall a dream, it won't come back), I remember just enough of this one that I know I don't want to remember the rest. I also had a dream once about his father (!) coming up to me and saying, "So you like my kid?" My fave dream, however, involved me living in a cottage on his property and caretaking the gardens.

Yup, I have dreamt that I have met him several times but every time the camera doesnt work or I cant get the camera working on my mobile phone.Its obviously your subconscious working overtime as the dreams become more frequent when theres a tour happening.
Then when I met him for real I still thought that I was dreaming :o :o The picture in my head of Guy & MK playing a guitar between them & MK sitting a foot away from me playing his guitar at the meet'n'greet will live with me forever :o

I have had dreams where I'm at a show, but fail to have my recording gear with me, or something goes wrong with it. Not always MK related though. The funny thing is that I always wake up before the show begins.

My tour dreams are angst driven. I can't find a parking space, or I'm stuck in traffic, or once there, the tickets are nowhere to be found. (Really happened in Berkeley in -06, but they eventually showed up. The ticket guy told me he'd have let me in anyway, but I think he was just being nice.

The disturbing dream was not funny or titillating in the least, but dark and morbid. I do not care to even try to refind it. It had despair and sadness in it.
The cottage dream, on the other hand, was charming. I don't recall that he was ever actually visible in the dream, but just looking after his gardens made me happy :)

Last night, strange enough I saw MK in my dream. I saw him sitting on a bench reading a book or something like that. i wasn't even in the dream. It was so brief but very sweet.

Well, I dreamed about Sting wailing "I want my MTV" in Air Studios on Montserrat, at least it was a room with recording equipment in it ( i watched Stewart Copeland's documentary late at night). But there were some people lurking in the corners, so one of them must have been MK!

I had a really weird dream last night. I dreamed I was at an MK concert, it was general admission but the area looked like a roadhouse. There were picnic tables everywhere and only very few people were attending. MK was playing "Postcards From Paraguay" but he played really bad, he always muted the strings. I was walking back and forth between the general admission area and the backstage area, obviously I had some kind of a press pass and tried to get an impression of the whole mood for my review. I did not meet MK, though. It was strange... I often dream about half empty concerts or concerts where something weird happens, I wonder why.

Had a good dream about MK last night. He was moving out of a brownstone house in New York and myself, our friend from Switzerland who does not like to be identified (sorry, can't remember his nick just at the moment) an JBaent were helping him.
This description makes it sound more boring than it was, it was actually a good extended dream with MK being very nice and chatty, he really is a great bloke.

Don't know if this counts, but the other night I dreamt that I was in a tattoo shop having a MK Get Lucky casino chip tattooed on my shoulder. A black one. The evening before I caught the tail end of a stupid TV programme called "London Ink", which is about a tattoo shop in London, and that must have been what triggered the dream. Anyhow, the chip looked really cool on my musclebound shoulder - and then I woke up as flabby as when I went to sleep.
strange, and i actually was in a casino playing with chips last night, boy ,coincidences.

I dunno if it's because of reading this topic yesterday but I had a strange MK dream last night....lol.
He was on stage with the band, he looked MK but a bit different. He played bad... and the last song was sang in french by John.... ( weeeeeeiiiiird)
A crazy gig... certainly the worst I've attended LOL ! :lol

Once I had a dream that I attended one of the KTGC showcases enjoying the music, woke up the morning after and looked at my KTGC CD, yes, it was signed! ;D Best dreams ever. ;)

Yesterday evening before my wonderful encounter with MK in my dream, my friend came over to show me how to do a self help acupressure. She emphasized that I needed to do it when I lay in bed until I fall to sleep. I did just as what she instructed me to. This morning when she asked if I did the self help. I said "yes" And I told her also that I had a very interesting dream with MK in it. I was in MK's office talking with his secretary, then MK appeared, sat with me and talked with me about palm reading ? What funny about this dream was that I actually dreamt of MK when he was perhaps in his early 30's. I then asked his secretary why is MK so skinny. She said " he has so many gals after him" weird ?
My friend and I had a good laugh about this, because she said the acupressure flow she taught me is the main connection to the original source of energy. She knows I am crazy about MK. So, I guess that proves something quite interesting.
I think I'll practice that energy flow every night from now on !

I had a very strange dream about MK last night, close to morning I think, because I remember it very clearly. I was at a concert with my husband, in a huge field that went on and on and we were directly in front of MK, except it wasn't MK at all, just someone with a lot of curly hair and he was playing "songs from the musicals". At the interval, the whole field emptied and everyone went to the loo, except for us two, who stayed to chat to MK. One of the things I remember saying to him was "I never did like musicals"! Then I woke up! ;D

Had the weirdest dream this night. Mark, myself, and possibly some more people were in a room which looked like a studio or rehearsal room. Mark was sitting opposite me, and, lo and behold, he had large, almost circular, acrylic nails, painted in two different shades of red, one red on one hand, the second red on the other.
"I can't help but notice that your nails are painted in two different reds", I said. "Is that a hint that you might bring out the two old red Fender Strats [from the early DS days] for this tour?"
"No, they are too unreliable for that", he answered in a very soft voice. He sounded a bit like Anthony Hopkins.
And that's it. Go figure. Where does all this junk come from?

YES... I am sure I want to reply to this old thread...
So, I wasn't aware of this thread until today when I was talking with Sweetsurrender on the phone about my upcoming trip, and also about our hopes to see MK in the US this Fall, when I mentioned that was so excited about the upcoming concerts that I had a couple dreams about MK.
The first one was when Mark and the band stopped by my house on their way to their next gig, and he asked if he could leave some of the equipment for me to keep for him (no idea why, this was just the dream). He greeted me with a nice hug and we talked for just a bit, and then I started showing the other guys around so that they could get the equipment stored. It was some time later that I realized Mark was surprised that I hadn't asked for pictures or autographs, and so he decided to leave in order to get to the show on time. I woke up rather disappointed that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye (or get a picture or autograph).
A few nights ago I had another dream where I met Mark at a concert, and THIS time I asked for a few pictures with him. We posed for some really cute/funny photos, but when I went to review the shots (still in my dream), I learned that the camera had malfunctioned and I didn't have any pictures of us. :'(
Both dreams, MK was very nice, and rather chatty.
And I definitely think it is worthwhile resurrecting this old thread... I laughed pretty hard while reading the earlier comments! :D ;D :'( :D

Thanks for sharing your dreams and resurrected this thread. The last one was in 2011 !!! It was fun to go back and read some of our silly dreams. Sure there must be more dreams to share here. :thumbsup :wave

It is peculiar that I haven't yet posted in this because I remember quite clearly that I have written my MK dream at AMIT. But maybe this was also a dream...
OK, I must have seen at least two MK dreams, but I only remember vividly one of them. I was at a second hand record store, looking for DS & MK LPs and CDs in pristine condition. I was feeling rather angry, because I already had them all, but MK had signed them all, right in the middle of the covers and ruined them !!!!! I was about to leave rather disappointed because I couldn't find anything with a clear cover, (can't recall if they were all signed, rendering the clear ones collectible and more expensive-this is the fetish side of me speaking...) when a seemingly depressed MK entered the store and came straight to me and started talking to me like we were old friends (which in the dream was quite normal, because we were good friends, but I had the feelingthat he was one of the annoying kind!!!) He was asking me about his latest LP both music and cover and I was giving him the slip, because I didn't have the time to listen to it and told him something about the cover. Next thing I know, we were out on the street and he was thanking me about the help I have provided???
Now what do you make out of this?

I dreamt just a few days ago that I was meeting mark...he put his hand around my shoulder and chatted casually for a few minutes. Can't remember where it was happening or what he said. Waking up was disappointine ;)

During sending my live setlist I had to write down the whole songs instead of abbreviations, so that already took a lot of time.
Then trying to find out what those unknown songs were. It really took a lot of time and I couldn't make it possible to keep the live setlist up to date ::) I started to panic that you all couldn't follow it anymore and because of that it took even more time :(
So I only slept a couple of hours and in that time I was very busy :-\

I used to imagine not dream I guess about meeting the man himself and what I would do and say if and when the event ever occurred...
The date was Friday 27th September 2013 and at a lovely little venue not far away from me!!
what I imagined might happen one day most certainly DID!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;)
(The added bonuses apart from just meeting him was the chat we had and then the shake of the hand too!! - never ever to be forgotten!!!!!)

Mark (and band) came over to my house again last night. He seems to be making this a bit of a habit ;)
He wasn't feeling well at first, but I made a nice dinner and we all enjoyed great conversation. We took a lot of pictures of us and the guys. Had a really wonderful time.

Nice to bring this post back.
I hardly remember the dreams I dream, but I vaguelly remind of dreaming about MK a few times.
But onde I had the most vivid song not about him, but about a new DS release. After I listened to "Calling Elves", wich was not released as a single down here in Brazil, but just as an advanced promo from the then upcoming album, I dreamt about the booklet artwork from "On every street". My imagens were indeed very similar to the real thing. I actually even thought about the type font which was used in the linner notes. It was courier new, which I think is very similar to the actual work - I don't know which font is.
Last January, I had a similar dream about Privateering, not so vivid though.

I had a dream that I brought the Privateering album out from the loft, dusted off the cover and put it in the player again. Actually, it was more of a nightmare so I woke up and put in Making Movies just to reassure myself. ;D

I actually dreamed about Mark in the night of 12 july 2014. I wrote down a scribble in a txt file what it was about the next morning. I dreamed about a new release of a MK album. The album had a totally strange, not MK like, title. The title was "Living as a zombie" or "The life of a zombie". The album had a light green cover and in the booklet there was a photographer mentioned who's name is Anthony Black. There was a song title called "The Calm Sea" and there was a song, from which I didn't remember the title, which had absurdly long lyrics. :D

I had a very strange dream about MK last night (I have to type quickly before it disappears from my mind)!
I had parked the car at our local shops and, amazingly, MK came and parked next to us. He got out of the car with a chair and sat outside of the shops and started singing, but without a guitar. There was a group of people singing along with him, including me, but I have no idea which song it was. Then he returned to his car with the chair and I leaned out and said "Hello". He looked very embarrassed, so I said "That was very nice, even without a guitar", to which he replied, "You should have seen me yesterday in......." at which point there was a very loud hammering, which woke me up! :o It was the postman with a parcel at 7am! ::)
I will never know where he was the day before, but maybe some of you were there? ;D :lol

Very nice, Val! I think it is so great that every once in a while, MK figures into my dreams -- usually around high activity fan times, like upcoming concerts, or a new release! :D

It's 6am - I just woke up from a fan competition where I got a 15 minute (ish) guitar lesson AND interview with MK...
He was a totally polite gentleman, there were at least two other fans waiting around with their guitars and we meet in some sort of house with a balcony.
My first Q is Why are you doing this?
MK says he wants to pass the baton onto younger people
We play a few licks and he's very helpful - I remember asking If it's a constant struggle is it worth it? At first hr answers Of course it's a struggle - but then (because it's my dream not his) he understands that I mean my own private striving for a style that may not be natural to me, I don't remember any answer..
I ask Can I ask awkward questions? He says with a kind of frown Just One ! I know I'm on touchy ground now and I want to ask about David Knopfler, but in my dream Eric Clapton has died so I ask about their relationship.. MK has nothing but nice things to say but I can't remember details.
Finally my time is up but MK notices I have a note pad and the music to Crazy, Crazy for feeling Crazy... He asks ME if we could jam it. I say Sure, as long as you do all the soloing. I then have a mini panic because I don't actually know the music and I wake up !!!
What a nice chap, he can pop into my dreams anytime.

Here's mine:
It's a lovely day and there are three of us and we have just travelled a very short distance for a very private gig with MK. (private being the word with only a select few in attendance!) For about an hour or so we all watch and listen to 'the Master' doing his thing and before long it's time to go home.
But oh no it doesn't end there!
We see MK walking to his car and politely ask if we can have autographs to which he replies 'sure, I will just get in the car'
We all wait patiently (I say all but there is 8-10 people) and sure enough I get to chat to MK and he signs three autographs for me, after they had been done I thank him for both the show and the lovely autographs to which MK shakes my hand and replies 'All the best'.......
Was that a dream???.....
NOPE that was Bridport, 2013 but I still keep dreaming about it!!!!!!! :wave

I've had one other I remember, very vague, but Mark does a concert in Australia in a theatre and there's less than 20 people inside... I end up chatting, apologizing and trying to explain to him, most people just want hits, they don't understand...
Quite funny, but that one disturbed me at the time. Thank goodness for this thread because my wife just doesn't care !!! :)

Around 1998, I actually wrote a letter to MK (no email back then). I doubt he ever read it, but I always imagined that he would. Anyways, one of the crazy things that I wrote was that I lived 10 minutes away from JFK Airport, so if he was ever in the area waiting for a flight, or was delayed, he could stop over at my house to hang out. I literally included my address!
So, a few weeks later, I had this dream that one day my doorbell rang, and it was MK himself!!
I invited him in, gave him a drink and spoke to him for a few minutes. Unbeknownst to me, a neighbor of mine saw MK walking up to my porch, and spread the word. Within a short time, my doorbell started ringing, nonstop, as people wanted to see Mark also. The house was getting too crowded, so I told everyone to go in the back yard, and Mark will come out to play some songs!
The problem was, I didn't want to share him with anyone else, so I had him play inside just for me! How the people didn't hear the music, I don't know, its a dream after all. I then escorted him out to his car, and told him to come by anytime.

Sorry, but just telling you my re-occuring dream which to be honest happens most nights! I cannot describe how good that day felt to any of you but I only hope this encounter will happen to others on this forum because this is one hell of a dream that doesn't go away!!!

Tony Bennett figured into my dreams the other night. ::) (I had just seen the movie "Amy" about Amy Winehouse, and there were some clips of them in the studio together.)
Woke up a little irritated... If I am going to have some odd dream about a musician, I would have completely preferred MK! ;D

Funniest thing is that the man with white hair was David Knopfler!
I tried to make a picture of both without being spotted but it was so difficult that I abandoned the idea...
