It's not negative meant this thread. It isn't able to put it in a poll, too many songs of DS/MK have seen the light, but it's more like a poll. What do you want to hear and what do you not want to hear.

And everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. We have to respect the opinions and as long as we do we can have all possible threads on this forum. That's why this is the best MK-forum in the world  ;)

I want to be the one to stand for Rudiger...

When the GH album was out I thought this was the best song on the album, period; and now, I feel that it is one of the very best songs written by MK. Can't understand why people hate Rudy so much. I understand for Sonny, Donegan, All the Matters... (In fact, Shangri-La is the album I have most difficuly to hook up with, but still, it is a MK album, so it is great) :)
I also like Done With Bonaparte, even though I am french and a big Napoleon fan - I acknowledge that the lyrics criticising Napoleon make sense :) I also wish the title song "Golden heart" was still played live, it is quite beautiful to.
Can't undestand why people don't like the Ragpicker's dream, it is the most daring, intimate and touching album MK has even done. I think in fact his solo career peaked with both the one and his predecessor: STP to revive Dire Straits, TRD to revive the Hillbillies, so everybody is happy :)
As far as DS goes, I am really done with WOL (overcommercialized and overplayed), I am glad it is gone. I still like MFN but I prefer earlier versions (my top favorite has to go to Montserrat one with Eric Clapton). I wish to hear TMTS and OES again...
I am also quite done with R&J, nice but overplayed, I wish like many that I was replaced by Tunnel of Love, the martyr song which did not deserve this fate; btw could anyone tell me the *real* reason why it was dropped ? because it was his dad's favourite, still in grief ater 17 years ? because he can't play it anymore physically ? I can't believe he would be tired of such a beautiful song about his own childhood... just listen to the STP DVD, Mark talks cheefully about ToL at some point while visiting the Spanish City... Thanks !

I think many fans agree with you :) I do and I guess MK does too ;)
The real reason why MK doesn't play ToL anymore? Because he doesn't want to. No other reason, I think.

For me, it has to be "our Shangrila" I'm glad also that "true love will never fade" didn't make it to the list.  Everything else is wonderful by me.

" Coyote" turned out to be a very great song LIVE.  It has a seductive tone to it which I really enjoyed hearing.  Even "Donegan's gone" sounds awesome Live.  These 2 songs never get much played on my player.  But now I love them.
