Fernandes Strat used by Hal Lindes-LOG tour 82/83.

This one is for those who like the universe of DS guitars.

I noticed one more detail that Alchemy reveals to me.
For a long time I thought
Hal Lindes used his blue Schecter in R&J, LOG and PI in Alchemy, but today, looking closely, I noticed that Hal uses Mark's guitar, a Fernandes Strat, which Mark used on the LOG album.

Going through my archives, I believe this supported my thesis that Hal Linde uses the Fernades Strat in R&J, LOG, and PI during the LOG tour. This photo is from 1982.

Anyway, I would like to share it here, because I know that there are enthusiasts of guitars used in Dire Straits, just like me, love this subject, it's nothing extraordinary, just a footnote in the history of the band we love the most.

Looks like the blue Schecter he only played on the On Location tour 80/81.

According to information on the On Every bootleg website, in the guitars section:
"The guitar was made in Japan. Mark used it on the Love over gold album (1982).
In 1989, Nathan Cavaleri was just a 7 year old boy diagnosed with leukemia. He was granted his wish by the Starlight Foundation to visit Mark Knopfler. He and his family flew over to the UK and visited Mark at Air Studios, London. See some nice pictures of that."

After Nathan arrived  back home in Australia, he received another gift; Mark's personal Fernades guitar. See Nathan here with this actual guitar in his hands. What an amazing gift!

Maybe Nathan Cavaleri doesn't know that this guitar was present throughout the LOG tour 82/83, including the legendary Alchemy, the songs Romeo and Juliet, Love Over Gold and Private Investigations, through Hal Lindes.

Wow, what an amazing and personal story, and, of course, to see Nathan healthy with his guitars. 
That comes to my conclusion on music. Music is the best medicine ever.

That’s not a Fender, back then other brands were allowed to replicate the traditional strat and tele headstock designs and Fernandes did it for a very long time. Japanese guitars are generally extremely well built.
