Alchemy 40 years ago
« on: July 23, 2023, 11:21:56 AM »
On July 23th 1983, Dire Straits gave the final concert of their "Love Over Gold" tour, which began in December 1982. The recording of the show gave rise to the fabulous live album "Alchemy".
Here's a look back at the album that definitively brought me into the world of Dire Straits.

"Sont indiqués sur le livret trois musiciens « additionnels » : Joop de Korte aux percussions (on ne le voit pas car il joue dissimulé derrière la batterie)

But we hear his famous announcement: 'Ladies and gentlemen, would you please welcome to the stage...dIRE sTRAITS".    ?   :)

Thank you for the article. One of the best albums in the history of rock music.
